A friend of mine has some CBD gummies that seem to help
I am nervous about using any kind of sleep aid (CBD, melatonin, etc) and having my body require that to get to sleep. Disclaimer, I also rarely take medicine and have to be cautious of not taking what most people consider "normal" dosages. One Dramamine put my dumb ass into a coma for a 3.5 hour flight once.

I used unisom a couple times. It's been k, bit the first time seemed to need a longer sleep. I felt like I only sort of woke up
 
Sounds like my dr yesterday at my physical asking if I’ve been sexually active as he’s holding my balls. When I responded that I’ve been married almost 20 years, he said “oh, never mind”.
That's nothing. In middle of my last prostate exam while I'm bent over I hear my doctor mumble, "Jerry, don't get an erection." I say, doc, my name is David, he says, "I know, my name is Jerry."
 
I do have quite a bit of stress at times and wake up early in the morning with my mind going a mile a minute. I try to get up when I am just tossing and turning to not keep Mrs. Velo up. I am fine in the morning but am eventually very tired in the evenings after this happens a few nights. Mrs. Velo says then I snore when that exhausted so I end up affecting her sleep that way. I need to take measures to reduce the stress, but I am a worrier by nature.

Just had a sleep study 2 weeks ago, didn't qualify for a C Pap but my snoring was described as heroic. I usually sleep from 11 to 5 or so with my snoring waking me up a couple times a week.
 
Need a different poll option to reflect my scenario: quantity = yes, quality = no

I always seem to be tired even rolling out of bed after 8+ hours of "sleep"
 
I sleep 5-6 hours, am almost always tired when I wake up, hate naps, keep a steady supply of coffee running through me from 5a to 8p
 
I'm not sure there's been one worse part to aging than not being able to sleep. It's been much better after getting a CPAP, but it's still remarkable how rarely I get a solid night's sleep. My two youngest wind up in our bed most nights. My wife has an unbelievable ability to sleep with the kids draped all over her. For me, it completely disrupts my night's sleep.
 
I use a CPAP for my obstructive sleep apnea. I was getting good sleep until I started having nerve issues in my neck and arm and then was getting less than 4 hours of bad quality sleep. Recently got the nerve issues fixed and have been prescribed Robaxin while I recover. It helps me sleep better but it's still not to the quality I was getting a year ago. Hoping to get back to my 8 hours of quality sleep soon as my body is slowly going insane.
 
I feel like I am missing out on something and really would not sleep at all if I didn't have to. I love spending time with my wife during the evening but once she goes to bed around 9 to 10 I typically stay up for another 4 hours and either work on art or occasionally game it up. I work from home so typically sleep from 2 to 8 and roll into my office with lots of coffee. I am only really tired for the first 10 minutes of getting up.

My issue when I don't sleep well is waking up once or twice a night then can't fall back to sleep right away because my mind is on something. Usually stress related with work where I can't get my mind off something I have going on or have waiting for me when I go to work. Then also have a problem where my wife who gets less sleep than I do lately thinks she is going to set an alarm to get up and work an hour or 2 before the kids have to get up for school then proceeds to keep hitting snooze or lays in bed for the next hour checking things on her phone so that also distracts me.

I would just kill for a day once in a while where I could sleep in until even 9am but my kids who complain about getting up at 6:15a to get ready for school have no problems wanting to be up and at it at 6am on a Saturday morning. Or if they don't have school like they did yesterday decide to sleep in until almost 8am which is frustrating they can do that on days I still have to be up and out of the house around 7a. Pretty much have to have a night to myself where the wife and kids are gone overnight for that to happen anymore which is a rare thing. I don't feel tired most days but the waking up at like 2 or 4am in the morning then taking awhile to fall back to sleep because I have something on my mind can be frustrating.

That's hilarious!

My last prostrate exam, I told my doctor that as much as I always dread this procedure, I'm guessing he isn't excited about it either. He just smiled and said "my mother always told me it's better to give than to receive and she was correct".
 
I manage to sort of rest my eyes while the 2 year old sits in my lap having milk or an snack and watching Ms. Rachel.
