I will go to bed usually around 8-8:30 watch TV for a half hour, get up to pee 2-3 times a night (gotta cut back on the fluid intakes and going out some nights.) I may catch a 30 minute nap in the afternoon. Cycling for an hour in morning does take it out of me up. I get up around 4:30 every morning to either go biking (sun is coming up earlier now) or go to the gym.

Forgot to add the wife snores. Whenever I get up to go to the bath, she's chugging like a steam engine when I get back in bed.... I tend to lose around 30 minutes of sleep.

My wife snores pretty good too (I do as well, so I can't complain much), but we got a sound machine and that has made a world of difference. Tends to blend in with the thunderstorm sounds it plays.

We have three fans for white noise or shall I say she needs three fans for white noise.

The only way i am getting up at 4:30 a.m. is if the house is on fire.
 
I passed on the poll since I am retired and sleep isn't as critical anymore for work days and such. If I am tired during the day, and at home, I'll just pop a nap in a reclining chair for 20-30 minutes. With that said, I think my quality of sleep now is pretty decent, maybe better than working days. Maybe not actual sleep quality but I do fall to sleep easier in a no worries lifestyle with no work **** rattling around in my head. My biggest problem, if you could call it that, is keeping crazy hours and staying up WAY too late and than sleeping in too much at times. In the winter it doesn't matter, cause winter and cold and dark for months so who cares. Summer time and it seems like maybe wasting time on a nice **morning sleeping cause you stayed up till 2 a.m.

** "Morning" means starting no earlier than a civilized 8 or so!
 
I have never had an issue sleeping. More people need to push their significant others whos snore to get checked for sleep apnea. Just because it doesn't bother you doesn't mean it can't help them.
 
I have no issues going to sleep (11pm) and rarely need to get up to go to the bathroom which is good at 56. My issue is that I normally wake up around 4am worrying about something not in my control. Normally kid related, even though both are grown and both are great adults that have their crap together. I typically fall back asleep around 5:45am in time for my alarm to go off at 6:10am. Makes me tired at work most days.
 
I started having sleep problems a couple of years ago, but started taking a combo of Benedryl and melatonin every night and it's been a game changer.
 
Changed my evening job to one ending at 9. Great night of sleep from that after night 1, and a great one (due to no set start times for us here on Monday morning) the night before.

Two in a row! Should run that to 4, and probably break the streak with 5 or 6 hours Wednesday night due to 4 AM wakeups starting again.
 
I get about 7ish a night. But between being a lite sleeper, the gf snoring, and our one dog not consistently sleeping through the night, I’m always tired.

Napping just means I don’t get to sleep that night, so those are out.
 
I sleep from around midnight to 5:45. I f I wake up anytime after 4:30, my mind kicks in and I'm up for the day. Weekends, I'm lucky to sleep past 6:30-7.

I don't get too many chances to nap, but I could every day without any ill effects on my sleep at night. I'm always tired, but I've been functioning forever this way so it's just part of life now.

I agree. I am good at falling asleep and sleeping great for 7-8 hours. I cannot nap for the life of me and if I wake up at night and am up for more than 30 seconds I have trouble falling asleep. Once I'm up my body is just ready to go.
 
About once a year, I hit a wall and feel almost dangerously tired, for lack of a better description. I'll spend a Saturday or Sunday and sleep on and off all day long. Then, I'm good until the next time.
