Anyone ever have canceled classes?

We used toboggins to haul kegs. By Tuesday night there was not a beer to be found anyhwere in Ames. I drove from Oklahoma City to Ames on Sunday through the blizzard. It took us 15 hours to complete the drive.

When you look up "Armageddon" in the dictionary, that sentence should be next to it.

They are trying to have business shut down in Des Moines, so I could see them canceling classes at universities......

I think its stupid though. Just drive slowly and safely and everything will work out just fine!

I"m hoping you forgot :jimlad:. Have you been out to try and drive? Didn't think so. No one should be trying to go anywhere unless absolutely necessary.

there was some point between 97-2001 ish ... the snow was piled 15' high in the middle of Lincoln Way and Welsh because there was nowhere left to put it.

I know we had the whole university closed on a Monday because we threw a party Sunday night to celebrate.

Also, I don't think classes were cancelled after 9/11, but many profs including mine, sent us home for the day.

I remember that. It was in the spring of 1998, like April or something. And a week later the snow was basically gone. We sat in the TV room of our sorority house and watched movies all day long.

I was there from F01 to S07 and only had that one afternoon in Feb or 07. Of course they start cancelling classes after I'm gone.....
