Anybody else hurt in FFL Playoffs by NE and Dallas?

My league this year cost me $110 to get in. The other 9 guys I work with each put up $210. Big talkers....but hopefully I'll get the last laugh, just like in the Cold War. Am I right!

I never thought I'd be happy that our playoffs in my money league don't start til next week! It's really stupid to have the playoffs in week 16 and 17, but with Brady and Moss I would have gone down hard this week if it was playoff time

What probably hurt me the most in Fantasy Football this year was my draft. ;)

Usually I'm OK with not having playoffs during the final weeks. After this year, I would have been all for it. I had a big enough lead that losing one game wasn't going to hurt me.

Now, losing in the playoffs hurts.

Yeah I griped about it all year, but I was 5 games ahead of 2nd place before this week so it really bailed me out not having the playoffs at the normal time. That said, I still could win if Adrian Peterson and his Vikings D come up big tonight (I'm down 28).

I could have really used the touchdown by Westbrooke that he decided to sit at the 1 yard line. I down by 8 points and have a kicker, that would have put me down by only 2 and a sure victory.

The Crack Whores (my team) eeked out a win when the Chargers pulled the starters in the 3rds quarter.

A 51 point win and their QB (and my opponents) only throws for 150 and 1 TD!!! it was GLORIOUS!

Semi's baby, with Aaron Stecker the homewrecker as my RB1 (injuries are a *****).

Now I have to play the team with Brady & Moss (he squeked by this week).

You need to find a group of somewhat wealthy foreigners that no very little about American football my man. It will change your life, and most likely your views on field goals.

That's the funny thing. This is a public league and I don't know any of the guys I'm going up against. Just some bad luck, my opening day backs were Frank Gore, Travis Henry, and Ronnie Brown. Traded Gore in part of the Barber deal but had to scrap up points after Brown went down and Henry was a bust.

But I'm playing fantasy basketball right now in a head to head league against people I know and I'm only 2.5 games out of first. We keep track of 8 stats so each one is worth a game for each stat you win so each week there are 8 points up for grabs in your head to head matchup so usually a good week is going 6-2 or better in your matchup.

Let's see - considering the only Patriots of note that I have on either of my fantasy teams are Vrabel and Hobbs (both on the same team and both of them put up decent numbers for defensive players yesterday), that really didn't hurt me at all.

I do have TO as a major contributor on my other football team, but considering I was smart enough to pick up Rosenfels (and start him) and lucky enough to decide against pulling Garrard, as well as other players that helped me to win my playoff game by 40+ points, I think I was ok.

The one thing that is different in our leagues is that there are no starters. The commish goes in on Monday morning and gives you the best possible line up.

I LOVE it. I've gotten sick of playing teams where Brady, Romo, Moss and TO light it up every week. Some of those guys have just Brady or Romo and no one else and they still win because he's putting up 50 points. Moss had, what, 18 TDs coming into this weekend? A lot of starting QBs don't have that many TDs. Those four players have had pretty much NO bad weeks all year. And to see them all choke the first weekend of the playoffs? PRICELESS. Now our bracket is basically open for teams that depend on more than just one player.

How about Tom Brady......he's carried me all season (averaging about 25 pts /game with my league's scoring) and yesterday, he only scored 1 point!

OUCH!

Brady with 140 yards passing and a pass interception for one point has punched my ticket out of the playoffs. EWelker has 3 points. Sad story is I had Gates or desmond Clark and I could chose Gates for 8 receiving yards. Garrad was on the bech as a 23 point qb and I might have won. I knew the weather would be bad, but they were playing the stinko Jets. Outsmarted myself. Julius Jones was not much help and I was 45 points under my average. Wait till next year!

Here's the thing. I'm in a keeper league. So, my lineup is usually
Romo, TO, Moss, & Witten, with some RB and Minnesota's defense.

It's not like I'm winning because of one guy. I've been killing people because of all of them.

Brady's my QB, so yeah, I thought I would be hurting yesterday too. But I was playing against a team with Romo and Moss. Plus, I have Witten as my TE, and he didn't have a terrible game, considering he was pretty much the only receiver for Dallas that could catch a ball. I still won handily and am moving on to the finals of my league.

I was hurt considering I have Romo, TO, Witten, and Folk on my team...this was the second time I lost to the team I was playing. The previous time Dallas was playing the bills and we all know how that turned out.

I need AP to bust off 40 points tonight for a win :skeptical:

I was the number one seed too...so sad

Well, you got pretty lucky on draft day then. Definitely not playing against war room gods there. Bottom line is at least you have some good keepers.

Regardless, I REALLY enjoyed yesterday watching owners of Brady, Romo, Moss and TO go down in flames. I had a damn good team, but it seemed like I'd run into one of those guys every other week.

That just sucks. I would have been soooo PO'd by that.
Well I wasn't even paying attention to what was going on at the time. Then they did the replay and heard the comment from the guys about how fantasy owners wouldn't be too happy. YOUR TELLING ME!

Gould just hit a FG, so Im only down by 5 now, but still losing, not cool! I was regular season champ going 11-2, but I want to at least be runner up!
