Anybody else hurt in FFL Playoffs by NE and Dallas?

Dallas and NE killed me yesterday. All I needed was a decent day out of either one of them and I win.

Romo, TO, and Moss all had terrible days. No TDs. I ended up scoring 65 points less than my season average. I am losing by 20 going into tonight. I need Minnesota's Defense to score 3 TDs like they did against New York. Yeah, I don't see that happening.

What sucks is that I was in 1st place most of the year and will now be fighting for 3rd place in the playoffs.

Stupid Romo and his girlfriend.
 
sutpid Joey Galloway is what hurt me!!! big 0!!!! for the week.. the Dallas thing didnt hurt me to bad in my espn league because i had witten.. so that didnt hurt to bad..and i had NE kicker which actually ended up hurting me cuzi switched him with crosby.. ya dumb move by me.. other wise not to bad.. just really mad at Joey.. only way i win now.. is if AP doesnt play..

I have Witten as well, but it's not enough to win. What sucks is I beat this guy pretty easily last week. Now I come back and lose to him a few days later.

How about Tom Brady......he's carried me all season (averaging about 25 pts /game with my league's scoring) and yesterday, he only scored 1 point!

OUCH!
 
Man, SuperCy, I hear you. I'm in a 10-team league with a bunch of Russian guys I work with. They pretty much all know zero about football and the winner of our league get's $2000. I've been dominating the Ruskies all year long, only loosing 1 regular season game. Our league starts 2 qbs and I've had Brady AND Romo all season long after I made a trade of Romo for Vince Young. For some reason Russians really like running QBs. Anyway, now I'm down by 5 points and I have Longwell kicking for Minnesota tonite and my opponent has nothing. I would be so upset if I lost in the semifinals with that much coin on the line. If I do end up losing, I may try and change the rules or the scoring system so I come out on top. Seriously, these other guys in my league have no clue. I love America!
 
I was hurt a little by Moss and Welker not doing much, but at the same time the other guy had Brady so it kind of evened out.

I wonder if anybody was hurt by Westbrook going down at the 1 instead of scoring. I believe it was FOX sports radio where one of the guys on there said he had him on his team and he will be mad if he lost by a couple of points.

I'm sure there are more than a few people out there that want to beat him right now. I can't imagine how mad I'd be if that had happened to me. What was the purpose of it?
 
I was leading our league all year (2nd year in a row) and then played a team in the semis that had Tom Brady last week. Loss. Game this week for 3rd and I had Romo as my QB. Loss. Lowest point total for me all year long after killing everyone all year.

the reason he did it is because the cowboys could not stop the clock so if he just falls down right there.. run out the clock and no chance for Dallas to score quickly and try an onside kick.. it was a smart move on his part.. i will admit i kinda grinded my teeth because i could of used those points.. but what ever in the league im playing him in there is no money involved...

but now that som1 mentioned it i didnt even realize i had played welker in my money league so that does blow..
 
Yea I think I scored half of my usual points because of Brady. The worst part is that I lost in both leagues this week because of all the low scoring games this week.
 
I have TO and Barber on my team and I'm down 2 points against the worst team in the league in the consolation playoff bracket now. I am done for the week, he still has Chester Taylor so somehow Taylor would have to get -3 points for me to win so that won't happen.

I always have this kind of luck with FF. Last year I was 10-2-1 and the #2 seed and got blown out in the first round. This season I always seemed to run into teams on their hot weeks. Started out 4-2 then went 1-6 which some of those games I lost by 3 or 4 points or the other team just had a monster week while I still had what is usually a good week. That's 1 reason why I sometimes like roto leagues for some sports better because they are completely stat driven not weekly W/L.
 
Same sob story. I've been riding Brady and Moss in one league and Romo and Moss in another to easily the highest point total in both leagues and it's all crashing down now. Ugh. I still have a chance if the Bears defense explodes but that's not going to happen.
 
What about Westbrook "falling" down on the 1 yard line? Weird things always happen in FFL this time of year.
 
The most selfless act of all time in the NFL by Westbrook, was probably cursed by several thousand Fantasy owners though! :)

The only way they can lose the game is if he scores. If he falls at the 1 they are guaranteed victory. How many times have we seen the opposite happen? A DB will pick one and then fumble it trying to score when all they need to do is fall down.
 
I have been leading my league since week 3 and that all just went in the crapper after this weekend. Every player but ONE of mine failed to meet projected points. UGH! Now I am playing for the Miss Congeniality Trophy.
 
Well, moss didn't help me but I had enough to cover without him with stecker and graham having big days and mason crosby going crazy with long field goals. and lets not forget my boy sage, whom I took a risk and started over carson palmer. Long story short, I sneak by into the finals next weekend with one grand on the line.
