Any word on recruits?

Last year the staff had an incredible closing % for recruits that came in for a visit. Any rumors regarding whether we got some commitments this weekend?

ALL of last year's recruits saw it, standing on the sideline--aside from a couple that didn't qualify.

I know that at least a handful of jucos were at the game--along with at least one committed high schooler (no, this isn't premium info), but my horrified reaction is that they took something good from when the crowd was loud...and the rest of the time, that...plenty of playing time is available.

We had two JUCO D-Linemen visiting. Rony Nelson will become eligible next year too, so that should help.

I'll say it again. We screwed up royally not having a bunch of recruits the Tech game.

Will be interesting to see if we salvaged anything at all this last weekend by pulling a commit or two.

The other site has a couple of good stories up this evening. I won't give away the details, but it's amazing how little the visitors care how the team does. And in this case, that's a darn good thing!

We had 60+ recruits visiting this weekend is what I heard. Rivals has had two stories tonight saying how impressed the recruits were by their visit.

The coaches think he's going to start/play as a true freshman. 6'7" 230, probably be 240-250 by next year. That's a monster compared to Pat Neal who's smaller than our LBs.

irving ,even though he is a stork now,at 6-7 he should be able to block a punt a extra point or a field attempt..
