What reason would there be that lofted beds are a bad idea

Also is it a lot of trouble to loft your bed for the dorms that are unlofted?

I would hang your loft from the ceiling instead of using the legs. It creates more room and is safe although it looks kinda scary.

you can also go through Collegiate Concepts (they'll send you info next summer, don't worry) and do a metal loft through them. Easier and less bulky - you pick it up right outside of the dorm, and they take it back at the end of the year. I'm assuming you, like me, will have quite the drive. And if it's just you and your mom (like me!) in a van hauling stuff back and forth, and getting things set up - it's really nice.

Also looks like not all dorms can accommodate them.

I'm more worried about not being able to get in bed after having to much fun at a party or not being safe when romping around with a guy. Ive slept in a lofted many times before. Just always sober and alone
