Allen Lazard- NFL Draft

i thought 17 and 10'2" might be low for WRs but both are top third for this year (of those who have already gone)

From the eye test he was similar to Kelvin Benjamin or Devin Funchess but he actually tested closer to Courtland Sutton and Kenny Golladay. Wish we had agility numbers but it was a big day for Lazard. He jumped(ran) into day 2 or a top 100 selection.

Allen Lazard 6'5" 227lbs 9 3/4" hands.
4.55 forty | 17 Reps | 38" vert | 122" broad jump

Kelvin Benjamin 6'5" 240lbs 10 1/4" hands (Round 1 pick 28)
4.61 forty | 13 reps | 32.5" vert | 119" broad | 7.33s 3 cone

Devin Funchess 6'4" 232lbs 9 3/4" hands (Round 2 pick 9)
4.70 forty | 17 reps | 38.5" vert | 122" broad

Courtland Sutton 6'3" 218lbs 9 3/4" hands (1st round projection)
4.54 forty | 18 reps | 35.5" vert | 124" broad | 6.57s 3 cone (elite)

Kenny Golladay 6'4" 218lbs 9 3/4" hands (Round 3 pick 32)
4.50 forty | 18 reps | 35.5" vert | 120" broad | 7.00s 3 cone

I see a team getting a discount Courtland Sutton with more production against better competition. Sutton was held catchless against TCU in 2017. He hit them 5-113 the year before so there has been production there. The combine doesn't assure anything about his future NFL career but, it's a hell of a lot better to test well than test poorly.

That vertical jump is more impressive I think than the 4.55 speed. That is near the top. I think it's safe to say he can dunk.

Both nice numbers, but the 40 time made him a lot more money. A lot more.

Here are Lazard's measurables compared to the three pass catchers (2WR & 1TE) in Bleacher Report's first round 2018 Mock Draft.
No expert but he measures well in comparison.

Courtland Sutton 6'3" 218lbs 9 3/4" hands

Has anybody seen comments from the draft talking heads (Kiper, Maylock, McShay, etc.) regarding the shift in the draft as a result of the combine? I would think that Allen will be moving up at least one round, maybe two.

I haven't seen very much online written about it. Those guys don't like being proven wrong and they all questioned his abilities coming into the combine, so it doesn't fit their agenda.
