Per NFL.com Lazard is the only ISU player invited to the combine. Not a huge surprise. I figured Lanning and Cotton Moya were long shots but I was still hoping they'd make the cut.

If the G.O.A.T. Kirby Van Der Kamp can't make an NFL team, then Downing sure won'tI got Lazard going to the Vikings late 3rd round in my first mock draft of the year...
Also got Campos going to Jacksonville in round 6, Lanning to Cleveland round 7 and Cotton-Moya in round 7 to Seattle. I could see a bunch of guys getting picked up as undrafted free agents: Waggoner, Murdock, Ryen, Wilkerson and Alexander. Downing probably won't get a shot after being terrible in the 2nd half of this season.
The QB position is different though. You can't really measure what makes a good QB. If you draft based on size and arm strength you end up with Jamarcus Russell. That's not true at all. You see guys every year with all-world numbers in college who go undrafted. NFL drafts based on how good they think a player can be in the NFL, and that starts with having the measurables.
Just ran 4.62 on his 1st 40 attempt
Allen did? That's pretty good. 4.5 would get him better draft position but Jerry Rice only ran a 4.7 and he's the best at getting seperation of all time. He was better in space than Allen but Allen's size is a huge advantage for him in the NFL.Just ran 4.62 on his 1st 40 attempt
4.56 the second time. That'll work!
4.56 much better
If the G.O.A.T. Kirby Van Der Kamp can't make an NFL team, then Downing sure won't
Think that may have earned him a little more $$$$$$$$4.56 much better
Looks like the "Official" time is 4.55. At his size would think the scouts would be very pleased with that time.Good time for Allen. Still have to wait to see the "Official" time though.
That is a pretty good time for Lazard. Lazard has elite blocking skills for a WR. He does make occasional drops though.
