All time favorite band.

Nine Inch Nails

I hope you've been following along with thisoneisonus.org and along on nin.com...supposedly some great new things coming from Trent, both NIN and non-NIN related (even though he says NIN is no more). Thisoneisonus should be shipping out their fan made dvds/blurays within the month.

NIN would be around 2nd for me. Never really listened to their music till about 5 years ago probably. Saw Man on Fire which is full of NIN music. I was goin through a bit of a rough break up and needed some anger in my life. "The Mark Has Been Made" hit the spot for me. Shortly after that song, I owned...well, I acquired the entire NIN catalog. Its awesome to see how Trent and his band has evolved through nearly 25 years of music.

TOOL is #1 without a doubt in my book though. For too many reasons to name. Lyrics are unmatched. The drumming is out of this world. The power behind the music as a whole moves me the way no other music can.

Ok, to switch topics a bit, if you were going to start a dream band (a frontman, lead guitar, bass, drums) who would be in that band?

Steve Perry-Journey, Brian May-Queen, Tommy Shaw-Styx, Geddy Lee-Rush, Ray Manzarek-The Doors, Tommy Lee-Motley Crue. There would be some rediculous harmony in that band as long as Geddy piped down a bit.

Yardbirds, Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton. I maybe wrong but i believe Rod Stewart and Elton John did some back up.

Freddy Mercury is for sure the front man.

I am going to go with Jack White on lead guitar (absolutely love Jack White's guitar playing ability).

I'd have John Entwistle from The Who on the bass

My first inclination on the drums would be Keith Moon, but I already have a member of The Who so I will go with my second choice, Ringo Starr, just because I have to have a Beatles member in my dream band.

No idea how this band would sound, probably terrible, but the talent is all there!

Looks like you and I would get along pretty well.

Mine would be 311. The "blue album" was a permanent fixture in my car's cd player for a good year or so in high school. I also spent 3 consecutive birthdays at 311 shows.

Now, I could name quite a few artists who I listen too much more than 311 these days, but at the time that music became important to me, 311 was it.
