All time favorite band.

Without a doubt Pearl Jam is #1. They produce such inspiring music and you ALWAYS get your money worth and more when you see them play live. Seen them 11 times (saw them in 5 different cities during the Yield album tour in 1998).
2. At The Drive In, never seen a more energetic band play live with so much passion.
3. Kings of Leon, new to most Americans because of their last album actually getting played in the U.S., but their first 3 albums were as solid as it gets. Check out their second album Aha Shake Heartbreak, raw as hell.

Too true. I'm a bigger fan of Youth and Young Manhood, but like you said, any of their first 3 albums will satisfy me. And for the record, Sex on Fire might be my least favorite KOL song.

Pink Floyd.

I don't remember when I heard them first, but knowing my dad, he had them playing when I came out of the womb.

First (and only) live experience was at Jack Trice in 1994.

If you dig Pink Floyd try to locate a copy of the bootleg recorded at Boston Garden in June, 1975.

While touring for Wish You Were Here they did a complete Darkside and did One of These Days and Echoes from Meddle. The really cool part is when they do Raving and Drooling (what would become Sheep on Animals in 1977) with the original lyrics. Then Waters anounces "another new tune" - You've Got to be Crazy (which would become Dogs on Animals) and they do that with the original lyrics.

It's a must listen for Pink Floyd fans, Have A Cigar live is just fantastic.

The Killers would be #1 for me. One glance at my Top 10 most played songs on iTunes would tell you that. 8 out of 10 are The Killers:eek:

I'm also a big Green Day fan. They put on a great show live.

Led Zeppelin
The Grateful Dead (how has this not been mentioned?)
The Beatles

Probably mostly youngsters posting in this thread. Plus, the Dead, while they had a huge following towards the end, there really were only a small amount of devoted Deadheads left. I happened to be one of them. But Widespread Panic has now overtaken them as my favorite. Sorry Jerry, but I still love ya!

KISS. Alive III was the first album I had ever listened to straight through in about 3rd grade. Then I listened to Destroyer. Yea, the music is pretty easy and mundane, and the lyrics aren't that great, but by god are they awesome.
