Does anyone else not really understand this whole Minshew mustache thing? I mean the kid grows peach fuzz on his upper lip, yet the media and WSU fans make it seem like an incredible accomplishment or even a power statement.

You kind of miss the point, but that is ok you are not a WSU fan. The mustache is just a symbol, people are attracted to Minshew's confident manner and the way he plays. He stepped into the WSU program in the wake of Tyler Hylinski's suicide, and simply led the team in practice and on the field. He took to Leach's offence like it was second nature, and he made the starting job his own. The team rallied to his example and the 10-2 record, thus far is the result. Lastly he is just a likeable guy, the kind of guy that other guys would love to sit and have a beer with and shoot the bull, and women would...….well you can guess.
You must have your browser tabs mixed up...this is the ISU fan site. We like to give friendly jabs to our competition over here, hence the look-alike threads, etc. If your going to be roaming around over here, it is best to take comments with a grain of salt. Plus, nothing in your ramble even answered why WSU fans/media are making a big deal of a fuzzy stache, which is no symbol of confidence imo. If you want a caterpillar crawling across a kids face to be the symbol of your team, have at it. And if the symbol must be mustache, it should at least be a real one (see Sam Elliott picture above). We’ll take the Alamo Bowl trophy as our symbol.

Oh I could tell you were having fun and it is all in jest and that is great, no problems here. And I think it will be an Alamo Bowl Trophy in the WSU trophy case. The Athletic Department might even put a mustache on it too!

Kind of a Hip to be Square thing. If ISU wins the game, we won't be drawing any mustaches on the trophy.
