"Green Bay isn't a huge vacation destination. People are coming here to play with me"

Damn Aaron, that's is cold blooded. Suffice to say, if this is his last year with the Packers, he has no problem burning everything down on his way out.

Clearly, Aaron has never been to the National Railroad Museum and is unaware of its implications on tourism.

I wonder how much Rodgers is going to even try this next year.

Lame duck employees aren't known for being the most productive.

Even though Rodgers is a cancer, he's worth taking a flyer on if you are a team that has all the pieces and need that QB to bring it home. Let's be honest.. He would love to pull a Tom Brady and prove he can win anywhere.

I think he'll be incentivized to prove to other teams that he's worth a ridiculously expensive 1-2 year deal.

His career earnings after this next season is going to be about $262 million.

That is before all the "Discount Double-Check" money from State Farm.

Shailene Woodley is worth another $12 million. He/they are not hurting for money.

He can afford to take a year off as a "**** you" to the Packers if he wants before signing wherever he wants (if he even wants to play more) -- the cost (to him) is going to be relatively low.

Now, is the dent in the contract the Las Vegas Raiders might give him next year worth completely burning things down in Green Bay, well, you'd have to ask Mr. Rodgers if he feels it is.

Brady pretty much cemented himself as the greatest football player of all-time (as much as it pains me) after winning one without Belichick around. Brady going on to Tampa Bay and success while the Patriots struggle without him, despite still having the genius coach, is a heck of an argument.

Rodgers has less of that problem in Green Bay. He's never been paired with a legendary/HoF coach, and he's never really had consistently above-average talent around him or on the defensive side of the ball. He's dragged a lot of mediocre teams kicking and screaming into the playoffs by himself.

A lot of those Patriots teams (especially early in Brady's career) had some great defenses.

There's no "it was all Belichick" figure in the Rodgers story.

I don't think he's a free agent next year. If he screws around this year, the Packers could just make him do it again...or worse trade him to Jacksonville.

Imagine if you were an out of state Packers Tshirt fan who does go to Green Bay for your annual vacation :-)

At least Jacksonville has some nice beaches that you can enjoy year-round.

I think it will be interesting if he over plays his hand a bit. I think he is banking on GM not wanting to be looked at as the guy who ran Aaron Rodgers out of Green Bay. But I also think there will be a tipping point where the fans start to sour on some of his **** and wouldn't blame the team for moving on.

Reached that point quite a while ago, then he took credit for getting Lazard on the field and was almost reeled back in.

One of those people who hates his entire family, just too high maintenance
