Aaron Cosby

He is making shots at a good rate in the video, however, something doesn't seem right about hist shot. Maybe it's just his follow through. Seems like he ends up moving back in a fall away type motion. I guess if it goes in, it doesn't matter right?

Not much of a "jump" shot as he doesn't get off the ground much (maybe I'm spoiled watching McGee). He did shoot 40% at Seton Hall so he can score against decent competition. Plus, he is taller and bigger than McGee and would have a year to work on his shot with Freddie before he plays a game.

It's not like McGee's, but he did manage to get over 150 threes off and make 40% of them, and played similar competition to ISU. I'm not too concerned how it looks.

Cosby would be an intriguing transfer at the guard position. I like what I have seen from his video clips. Seems extremely talented!

Wish he could play this year, if he did come.

That is the only reason I could see us pulling back from him. Assuming we have an open spot, I would think Fred will first see if there is someone that can play immediately before pulling the trigger.

I could see this. No doubt in my mind that our guards for 14-15 will be insanely good. next season, they will be wet around the ears but talented.

I thought I would hate it, but I am warming up to the transfers sitting a year before becoming eligible. I think they really get a lot out of it. One thing that probably goes unnoticed is it gives them another year to work toward graduation keeping our academic progress on the up and up. I'm not sure how players leaving us negatively affects this though.

Not to mention, it provides a quality player on the scout team as well.

Especially when you consider that you have 13 scholarships and only about 8-9 man rotation typically. I'd rather have 1-2 transfers sitting out a year, than have 4 or so players that really can never contribute.

Even being objective, I think Iowa State is a much better situation to come into than UConn or Missouri. Plus, we chuck lotsa threes.
