Aaron Cosby

I was looking at twitter and noticed a couple of KJ Blufords tweets today. Here are a couple of his latest tweets:

Maybe I'm looking into it waaay too far but maybe these tweets mean that something is wrong with his academics and this might be the reason we are looking at Cosby. I could be totally off...

Good catch. I hope he works through whatever has him down.

While I agree that interpreting tweets is borderline crazy this is certainly interesting.

I wish him well. It sounds like whatever it is he's going through a tough time

Maybe those with twitter should send him some love. He did commit to us afterall, even if he doesn't make it here.

-Looking on his twitter, he talked about getting in trouble for guest violation and maybe getting kicked out (Dorms?) - Meh, beats me, the twit-e-er is a confusing monster.

The seven degrees of transfer speculation on CyFanatic:

1) Someone posts about a potential transfer
2) Someone brings up video or stats on said transfer
3) Opinions are gathered - ranging from 'next Lebron James' to 'Let Him Play for the Squawks'
4) Someone brings up scholarship counts. Notices that we might need room.
5) Talk ensues about who is leaving. Cousin's best friend's ex prom date knows everything...etc, etc.
6) Someone brings up Bubu because of his 'walk-on converted to scholly' status and recommend him giving it up.
7) Bubu talk turns to suspension and the conditions surrounding it. People choose sides and in the end everyone trusts Fred to do the right thing.

See, now if you want to know how much longer the thread will continue, just check out what step we're at. Should be easy to gauge then ;-)

Sounds about right. We should make this a sticky at the top of every transfer thread so everyone knows the proper protocol.

Yeah, I agree that most of us don't feel at all connected to players like Scotty, Tyrus or Babb.

I probably love our 'misfit' transfers more than other players. They have been fun to watch and have brought so much to Iowa State. Add in that all of them have graduated and you have quite the success story.

One quality that I think Hoiberg has always had or got from his years in the NBA is that he just doesn't pre-judge people. While some of us saw trouble when we signed Royce or Chris Allen or Korie, Hoiberg didn't assume that they were no-good and destined to bring shame to Iowa State. That's a quality that more people should ahve.

quick update:
Seton Hall Transfer Aaron Cosby Narrows List | ZagsBlog.com

Former Seton Hall guard Aaron Cosby has narrowed his list of future destinations. “I’ve narrowed things down to Baylor, UConn, Missouri, Iowa State, Illinois, N.C. State, Vanderbilt and Kansas State,” he told SNY.tv.

“As of right now, Baylor, Missouri, Illinois, N.C. State and Kansas State will be making home visits while I’m there,” he said.
“Within the next two weeks I will narrow things down to maybe three or four and make officials. Hopefully, I will make my decision at the end of May.”
Cosby will have two years of eligibility after transferring.

In a perfect world I would like a guard that could play immidiately and a post player that could sit this year and move into the 5 spot after Ejim graduates allowing Naing to slide to the 4.

Of course that would mean we'd have two open spots that aren't yet known.

Somebody with more knowledge - does it mean anything that we aren't getting an in-home visit? Does that put us towards the back of the pack or is it not as important as I'm making it sound?

This dude can shoot the 3 so bring him in.

I thought we all should have learned our lesson from reading too much into a certain football player's tweets last Fall...

I wouldn't worry about those tweets. He had ond during the Iowa State- Ohio State game saying, "I can not freaking wait for next year."

I think Bluford was on the rocks then we reached out to Cosby. I also think Bluford has got things straightened out since then... Could be wrong though.

I think Israel is going to attack Iran. I think N. Korea is gonna nuke themselves by accident.

Could be wrong though... ;-)

Just messin' wit cha RustShack!
