A Must Read

Opinions are never wrong. How you voice your opinion on the other hand is different. The way you voiced your opinion was wrong and juvenile.
where do you get off telling me my reaction is wrong? i dont tell you how to live your life man, i just figured people would like to know the reaction i got.

You were wrong as soon as you forwarded it to the media, and blatantly disrespected someone older than you publicly in such a way.
if i had a magic list of all the cylcone fans in the world, i would of emailed it to them. i dont. so how would you gone about sharing your concern of this situation?

i disagree with your assessment of snotty and immature

I disagree with you assisting the local sports talk radio hosts in misinterpreting the email and making this a story. You got tough with Pollard, he hit you back and then you had nothing so you threw him under the bus "unknowingly."

no, you just tell Athletic Directors how to do their jobs.

This is known as being an attention *****.
How about "ignorant" "rude" and "poorly worded?" Is that assessment any better there, Rainman?

You forgot childish.

And don't forget, he threw some of our players under the bus as well.

Playing devil's advocate back...

My tax monies have funded the development and production of the F-22. Do I get to fly one, because frankly, that'd be badass.

I'm sure they wouldn't let you.. But I would still ask... Never hurts to ask...

Best thing the government would do is Not Respond to what you wrote... Or Take the HIGH ROAD

One word: Respectfully. You might want to look that one up, because you're severely lacking. Professional communication is one thing, being a ******** is another. You were a jerk, and got snapped back at, and you're the one crying about it.

It's like you hit your sister, then she hit you back, and you cried to your parents about it.

I'm sorry if I'm stepping on my co-workers toes but I expected this to be a thread on here for sure. I didn't hear Miller and Deace today but this is crazy!

From their blog:

Des Moines' Sports Station - 1460 KXNO

reaction?

Who sent this in through the mail? I have to assume it was ISU office of the AD and not the "fan"(?). Interesting that this should go to a member of the media from the AD's office. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm...might be brilliant, actually. Makes the point that everyone needs to do their part for the whole thing to work. I think it is something that I might have done, were I the AD. But, if I were the AD, I think I would have removed or blacked out the fan's name. Interesting......

Hate to do this to you kid....nevermind I dont
To watch Scott Christophersen get burned by players from Kansas, Kansas State, and Texas again?

Or better to watch Diante Garrett dribble the ball off his foot five times a game?

It makes me sick that you are allowing this joke to continue.

I feel bad for them, and for all the rest of the fans of this program who are forced to put up with this sick joke.
In fact, allowing for this hideous nightmare to continue not only should Greg McDermott be worried about his job, but you too, Mr. Pollard.

You are right! Your letter was full of maturity and a level head

I think we are missing the major point here....

If you are Pollard.... WHY WOULD YOU RESPOND TO IT??? Take the high road and don't act like a jerk on a response... How hard would that be???

Just walk away... Boom outta here...

I want a chopper...can you please get that arranged? Or a tank. That'd be pretty badass too.

The difference is this guy used it as an attention grab by forwarding it to the media.

Needless to say, Pollard should already know how to deal with criticism at all levels, including people making offensive remarks via email, phone, in person, etc. If you have a job as "high profile" as his, it's something you hopefully know how to deal with after a handful of years on the job regardless of whether you've made the mistake of "lashing out" at someone and then regretted it or not.

Even if you are extremely angry at what someone says to you and it's even majorly offensive to you, if you are in that high profile position and your words have your name (or image) attached to them, you should probably take a step back and realize what you're saying. You are not only representing yourself, but you're representing an entire part of, or whole of, an organization.

More than likely, the government would put you on a terrorist watch list and monitor any communications you make, plus audit you.

You don't tell me how to live my life but you tell the AD! Go celebrate Marquette's win over St Johns

The AD should probably be used to dealing with college aged people by now.

Funny though because if you read any in-game thread, there's a lot of people basically saying the same thing,......
This thought had occurred to me while reading his original email: it appears as though he copied and pasted stuff that was said on this board word for word. I don't believe that much of what he wrote was original but was taken from posts on here.

This guy signs up for CycloneFanatic one day after the press conference. He reads a bunch of stuff that people are saying on here. Sees an opportunity to try to stir things up a bit and so zips off his email.
