watching Weird Science tonight got me thinking about how many great comedies that came out in the decade of the 80s. On of them actually was about Iowa State, if was called Fraternity Vacation and it was about Iowa Staters going on spring break. Of course Weird Science is great. Here are some others. Raising Arizona, hands down. My favorite comedy of all time.

I watched Ghostbusters with my kids on Halloween... man there is some stuff in that movie that I certainly don't remember from when I was a kid.

"Night Shift" is my favorite under-appreciated 80s movie of all time. Michael Keaton makes his debut in this film (directed by Ron Howard), and steals every scene he's in. BILLY BLAZE! Watch carefully for a young Kevin Costner in the scene where the fraternity boys are partying with the hookers in the morgue. (Yeah, it's that kind of movie.)

Which also implies that everyone is okay with semi-bestiality. Because she only bangs him as a werewolf. But it's just TOTALLY FINE with everyone.

I think it came out in 90 but The Adventures of Ford Fairlane is still one of my favorites. UHF is right up there as well.

Quick story. My family and I are in planes trains and automobiles. U can’t really see us but we can see us. We happened to be on a lay over at Chicago ohair and they just had everyone pretend that they were being normal

Technically, it was 1990 but I'll allow it. Great movie.
