If we play our cards right, Kevin Sumlin might be looking for a job after next year.

Expectations are high in Aggieville and he isn't having much success in the SEC.

He has had some off the field issues, but I'm willing to take them if he can turn this program around

If a guy can't get it done in Texas there's no way in hell he's getting it done in Iowa.

Nope. We can't afford it. Listen guys, when Rhoads was being courted, we couldnt afford to pay him much more per season. So, we gave him something else: stability.

That is a risk/reward proposition. Unfortunately, we are on the risk side of things. Have to hope Coach Rhoads can turn things around starting next year.

The same people who wanted Chizik canned after 5-19 are sticking up for a guy who is 6-18 over his last 24. I don't exactly get it.

Why wait till next year, do it after this season, that was a total **** poor production. Recruiting is not good at all either and it showed today as we were outmatched at every position on the field.

What I do not get is that Chizik seemed to have a better idea of how to win at ISU than CPR, minus the Bolt hire. The OLine handed to CPR by Chizik and McFarland was the kind you can win with.

I don't remember anyone calling for Chizik's head. In fact, we were all upset he left at the time.

Not true. It was not as exciting as McD getting hired away, but it was a pleasant surprise. Do not confuse the disdain for Chizik himself for be upset he left.

I am with the 1 more year group. This years team is young, and very injured. There are a bunch of defensive players that were not available this year to play, and now with the injuries there are a lot of guys out there that should not be playing at this point in their careers.

Before today the offense looked like it was going in the right direction, the defense, not so much. I think Wally needs to hang it up. NOt only is the defense bad, but the LBer play is horrible. Today was a nightmare, but again, with a team that was already pretty limited up front on defense is missing several players, this is what happens. Stoops had to be laughing when Jensen, Cousins, Miller, Tribune, and Garcia could not play today.

Btw im with the end of 2015 crowd. We have alot of talent on the offense coming back gaining more experience, hopefully a new defensive coordinator. If he can win with that he never will

Here's my only problem.... defensively we are not going to be anywhere near competitive enough next year to win many games.

So no matter how good we think the offense "could" be, assuming our OL somehow improves drastically, it probably won't be enough to equate to wins with how bad our defense will be.

You could possibly promote Mangino to head coach and hire a new OC and DC, as long as they aren't Tommy Mangino and Shane Burnham. I want some new blood on the sidelines.

Don't give 10 year contracts, it's ********. Like I never use the word ********, but that's the only word that fits it.
