Ku's last eight year seeds. Underachieved or overachieved?
I'd be curious to see a couple more pieces of info:
1. When did they get beat out in the NCAA tournament each of those years?
2. How does that compare to other top programs like Duke, UNC, etc?

Agreed. Self is a great coach when he has plenty of time to game plan or is facing a conference foe that he already has the shell of a game plan for from previous seasons but he does not do well in the 2nd game of a tourney weekend or on Big Monday road games where he has limited time to develop and install a game plan. So he has underachieved in the postseason but overachieved in the regular season.Both. Overachieved in the regular season. Underachieved in the post season.
I thought it was some stupid Jurgen formation.
No, KU seems to get bit every year in the tourney when they are under prepared game plan-wise and run into an aggressive team. Looking at how the tourney played out, Nova was the worst possible #2 seed that KU could have been given. If the Selection Committee had seeded to their posted 1-68 seed line without trying to line things up for Michigan State and Oklahoma then KU would have been in the Midwest with Xavier as their #2 seed and would have rolled to the Final Four.I've always contended that KU gets all the breaks during the regular season, and then when they get to the Dance they don't get the favorable calls the majority of the time.
The answer is -7.
This is cute. Just real cute. No, KU seems to get bit every year in the tourney when they are under prepared game plan-wise and run into an aggressive team.
