Ku fans are convinced there is a conspiracy against them. The rest of us know the subterfuge favors them. It's a real hoops' conundrum.

No conspiracy against Kansas whatsoever. Just unlucky for Kansas that the Committee, chaired by the Oklahoma AD, chose to focus primarily on how to make up for not giving Michigan State the #1 seed they thought they deserved but didn't have the resume to actually earn and how to give Oklahoma the easiest bracket possible. They put Michigan State in Chicago as a "sorry we didn't give you a #1 seed" consolation prize and didn't want to completely hose the #1 overall seed, Kansas by putting them in the Midwest against Michigan State so they shipped Kansas off to the South. KU to Louisville because "it's 3 miles closer to Lawrence" is BS when you realize that all flights from the closest metro area to Lawrence (Kansas City) to Louisville GO THROUGH CHICAGO. They placed Michigan State in Chicago first and then built around that. If you have a less "tin-foil hat" sounding explanation as to how the top 8 teams were seeded and placed then I'd love to hear it. This is widely reported by the national media as one of the worst seeded and built brackets of all time.

You really think they put Kansas in Louisville instead of Chicago because it's three miles closer to Lawrence? Just a reminder that this resulted in Virginia being put in the Chicago bracket (738 miles from Charlottesville, VA) instead of the Louisville bracket (494 miles from Charlottesville, VA). Please, enlighten us on a different explanation for it. Did I mention that I-64 goes from Norfolk, VA, directly through Charlottesville and all the way to Louisville?

For the last several weeks of the season all the prognosticators were saying KU would go exactly where they went - to Des Moines for the first two rounds as a reward for their season. There was never any doubt about that. Sure as hell not a conspiracy based on three miles.

In fact, one would think if you are the overall number 1 seed, you would go to the closest location even if it's only closer by 3 miles, and the rest would have to get what falls to them. But go on, next tell us about the second gunman on the grassy knoll.
