Especially when he did it against defenses which knew exactly what was coming. One thing I think about is man did ISU have some studs in the OL during the Troy years.
That's part of what made it so hard to believe week after week for 2 years. Everybody knew we were going to run it and they couldn't slow him down.

That second video mentioning the UNI game the week before, wow. In 2 back to back games he carried it 94 times 619 yards and 9 TD's. That's a good season for some guys and he did that in 2 games.
He was absolutely indestructible. Just a cannon ball.

And he did all that against defenses who knew ISU couldn't throw it, and put their all into stopping him.

I was at the game as well. If I recall correctly, Troy had somewhere around 38 carries, averaging just under 10 yards a carry. Plus, I don’t think he broke any extremely long runs on that game, making his total yardage even more impressive.

I don't know if this is sad or amazing, but just listen to how muted those crowd cheers were. I'm sure it was a really small crowd, but imagine something like that happening today, with the stadium packed. Oh My God.

With todays media coverage, everyone would know who is he is/was too.
