Your issue is the QB. The Bears are solid on offense and great on defense but Mitch is holding you back. He's a bust

He might turn out not to be good but Mitch has started 15 games and only 3 under this Coach/OC. What were people saying about Goff after his 1st year?

It's too early to call Trubisky a bust, but the issue is that the rest of the team appears to have arrived ahead of schedule. With the addition of Mack they have a playoff caliber defense, and with the Vikes and Packers struggling the NFC North might be there for the taking.

So the quandary now is that Chase Daniel may very well give them a better chance of winning right now, but it would come at the cost of Trubisky's long term development. It's a tough spot, but I think their best move is to keep riding with Trubisky and hope he starts getting better before he starts costing them games.

This a million times. It's like he hasn't been around the past 3 years watching the turn style in front of his QBs.

Though I also expected them to go OL in the first round this last draft, it is easy to forget that the OL (minus Joe Berger) was going to be the same as 2017 where the Vikes were 7th in the league in rushing. That was even without Cook for over three quarters of the season. While glaring problem now, before Easton went down they should have been decent.

Also slightly scary to think about not having Hughes on the team though considering the DBs being banged up at times this year (two rookie CBs on the field last night at times).

I didn't mind the Hughes pick as I think Trae Waynes is the obvious weak point in the defense when they're at full strength and there didn't appear to be much O-line talent in this year's draft outside of the few elite guys.

Last night further proved that Everson Griffin is the heartbeat of the defense. Harry and Rhodes are great players but they don't have much opportunity to be great when the D-line can't get pressure on the opposing quarterback. Goff looked comfortable as hell back there and was dropping dimes where only his guys could get them.

I wonder how much losing Tony Sporano when they did is hurting the O Line. What is Steve Loney up to these days?

Honestly, if it weren't for the Bills debacle, they are about where I thought they'd be. I thought we'd be 2-2 right now with losses to LA and at GB. Losing to the Rams in LA is something a lot of teams are going to do. That offense is pretty amazing to watch. Gurley is a load. Goff was pretty damn impressive too. There were some receivers that were wide open by 5 yards last night, but some of those other throws were just ridiculous.

The Vikes are very susceptible to teams that can pass to multiple levels against their defense. Asking our LBs to cover tight ends, backs out of the backfield as well as providing underneath coverage against WRs is asking too much (and yeah, that pretty much describes every NFL team) Teams that utilize the RBs in their passing game have been Achilles Heels of the purple Norsemen forever.

I'd almost rather see close games where the Vikes have to come back from being down 3 late in the game to score and win. When I see them up 10 to start the 4th and the opponent has the ball, it just feels like you know how every snap is going to go for the remainder of the game.

It’s a long season, but this Vikings team is schizophrenic.

Yep. Shows this team can contend when it's got its act together. However, is also prone to be destroyed by lowly Bills of the world.

Cousins has shown why get got the money. But, the Vikes will need to get their first team RB, DE, OL, and CBs healthy if they plan to go on a roll.

Agree he has shown why the price tag was worth it. Biggest knocks seemed to be red zone turnovers and fumbles. He has had 3 fumbles credited this season, but he has played great and his TD/INT ratio is great. Could be argued if it wasn't for his play, their record could look much worse than it currently does.

Though very difficult to compare play on different teams, I think almost all Vikes fans can agree he has been worth the additional cost compared to just extending Keenum. Keenum has also lost 3 fumbles this year (which I felt was one of his biggest strengths last year, stepping up in the pocket to avoid the edge rush where you see a lot of those strip sacks) and QBR had regressed to near his career average.

If the OL and Defense can return to anywhere near the level they played last year, this team could get on a little roll here in the coming weeks and be dangerous!

The Vikes are snakebit. Can't keep their last three 1st round picks on the field because of injuries. Add the issue with Everson and you wonder if they will be able to overcome the problems of having so many starters on the bench.

If Vikes can win their next 3, they're going to be set up nicely. They have their toughest division game out of the way and can hopefully make some hay with the other 5.

Thielen is killing it for the Vikes, and on a bargain contract no less. Think he might push for a new deal after this season?

Would almost have to expect him to, right? I get that he's under contract, but the team should also respect that he has also outperformed his current deal significantly. On pace to be top 5 in yardage for the second straight season with multiple QBs (even if it is an upgrade) and multiple OCs. Barely in the top 50 for average $/year. Many of the names above him are unbelievable!

Nice boring win by the Vikes today, but I hope Barr's hamstring and Rhoads ankle or knee injury doesn't keep them out long.

Happy to see Thielen tie the all-time NFL record.
