Drunk hawk tries to escape from troopers in stands. Gets caught and escorted out. Resists arrest gets collared and cuffed. Then starts pleaded to be let loose and he promises to go straight home.

Iowa fan using ISU's chants when Iowa does something good. Iowa fan trying to take ISU fans seats while they step away. Iowa fans yelling at KF to be more aggressive.

Fun little fisticuff fight in section 18 immediately following the game between a Hawk and a Cyclone fan (both mid 20's male). Three rows behind me, swinging fists, head locks, wrestle to floor. Very entertaining (and stupid). Hawk was all alone with 20+ Cyclone fans still there. We stepped in and separated them and the Hawk wanted to take us all on. Invited us out to C5 parking lot to continue the fight. Didn't even appear intoxicated, just a lunatic.

Surprisingly I thought Hawkeye fans were alright yesterday. We didn't have tickets but we tailgate at a big Hawkeyes tent that had the game on. It was majority hawkeye fans. They were impressed by our team and think we'll be pretty good

One ISU fan a few rows in front of me in Section T kept trolling this younger (HS/college age) Hawk fan throughout the game. Added another layer of entertainment to the game.

A Hawk fan back and to the left of me kept booing one penalty flag that turned out to be against ISU.

Other than that, the Hawk fans around us were pretty good; didn't hear much other than the expected "go hawks" and cheering.

One Iowa fan sitting on the drive aisle in the lots after the game was pointing and laughing at everyone (including yours truly) wearing a Beat Iowa shirt. Honestly just felt pity for him more than anything else.

My wife and I like this game the least because the fans are just stupid. I had parents of a girl in Iowa's band sit by me and they were nice. After the game we went to Outback in Ankeny and as we're leaving I held the door for some folks coming in and as they go in the dad yells go hawks at me - really!? Just kinda stupid.

I think it's their gag reflex

I sat in the handicap section. If you want to sit with fun people who are chill and just enjoying a game then the handicap section is for you.

(But ISU didn't do a great job with accommodating people who needed help in my opinion)

I watched the game from the tailgate lot and saw equally stupid fans, mostly students, from both fan bases. I'm sure I was dumb when I was a freshman too with the "f iowa"'s.

We only had a tailgate of about 10 people, both hawk and cyclones, which grew to about 40 by games end as we had a tv. Everyone started bringing their tents over to make a little city.

In our group everyone was really civil and congrats each other on a good game throughout when it looked like either side could win.

Only time I felt embarrassed was I went back to my original tailgate and there was an iowa tailgate right next to us. One of their fans came back from the stadium and just said go hawks to his friends as they were excited, and a guy from our group wigged out screaming at them and tried starting multiple fist fights with them. I wanted to hide as the 30 year old made us all look really bad.

Sat in section 22 in the SEZ. Probably 6-10 Hawk fans around us. Guess how they acted?

Like they were guests in someone else's stadium. They were extremely polite, and classy. When ISU had big plays, they high fived Cyclone fans around us. When Iowa had big plays, we high fived them. They bought beers for ISU fans, and vice versa. It was a really great atmosphere. I was initially a little annoyed that some of our own had sold SEZ tickets to Iowa fans, but they were a great bunch of folks. We didn't have many discussions of how good of a season we were gonna have; there was no consoling or moral victories. We all just enjoyed the game together. It was neat as hell.

The worst fan I saw all day was a Cyclone in a paved lot just south of the student entrance. As we walked by, he gave the finger to some of his tailgating partners (Hawks and Clones alike,) threw his cooler into a wagon so hard it spilled water from the lid, and kicked the wagon before dragging it away in a huff. It was a tough loss, but dude...

Nothing too bad, but way too many Hawks in the endzone. One guy being overly obnoxious during the first half. During half I hear behind me, "This is kinda boring, let's just go to the bars". Look back and it is obnoxious guy and his friend. Good riddance, made the "boring" game much more enjoyable. Hubby ended up with a Hawk couple right next to him, they were not bad.

In the parking lot sitting in S3 right next to the stadium. Hawk fan was asking which entrance he needed to go in, asks if you could bring cooler in, etc. Looked the part of a trailer park resident, probably had Hawkeyes on his belly. "How y'all get to park here, you come real early?"

A couple of posters making up some stuff in here. Namely the racist stuff, and booing the Marine.

It's a football game people. There was no audible booing for the Marine. And any racist comments by either fan base is an isolated incident.

Keep this crap on the politics board, where fantasy is accepted as fact to further a narrative.

How bout you go somewhere else if this bothers you so much. I'm not saying it was all Hawkeye fans doing this but it was a group of 3 behind me. I know there are moron Cyclone fans as well, but these 3 Hawk fans behind me were embarrassing themselves.

I'm all for sportsmanship but high fiving for the other teams big plays seems a little silly to me
