I enjoy the podcast but all podcast (not just CF podcasts) have an obscene amount of filler. They are good for killing time and in depth opinion. Other than that you can get everything everything out of a podcast in an 8-13 paragraph article.

I wouldn't...They need to hire voice actresses to read the podcasts. Maybe some of those adult phone line workers. I might listen then.
As you all should see from this thread, there is a method to our game plan here with content. Have something for everyone. The podcasts are not meant to replace the written word, but enhance it with extra analysis for those who want it. And all of our pods are themed differently for those who want them.
Also know that 80 percent of the people who log onto CF everyday do not post on the forum.

Make it Sean Connery & we have a deal...Maybe if Fabio is doing the reading?![]()
I'm confused on what some of you think podcasts are? Do you think they're all just people reading things?
There are also those who have hearing issues...and listening to talk radio or podcasts can be problematic. It would require my undivided attention to hear and absorb what is being said. So yeah, some people WOULD have to sit in a chair & do nothing but listen.I'm confused with the comment people keep making , " I don't have time" which seems to suggest those of us that listen to podcasts block off a portion of our day, sit in a chair, and do nothing but absorb podcasts.
I listen when I drive.
I listen while do yardwork
I listen when working around the house....e.g...painting, fixing something, etc.
I listen while exercising.
Everyone has the time, it is just a matter of preference on what you want to do with that time.

I love the podcasts. It's been gratifying to listen to Jared go from amateur to pro.
To each his own. However, it seems that many just don't understand the nature of the CF podcasts. Most are "hang out time" with our CF pals and their guests who often have some special access or insight to Cyclone athletics (or other interesting connections, such as the Iowa Events Center).
I will often read a transcript of a speech or interview in lieu of watching a video clip. Podcasts are a little more problematic, as they are more conversational with people often talking over one another. It's a great source...it's just not one that everyone will enjoy. Like Chris said - CF has a mix of something for everyone.Well yeah. They're most definitely not people reading things. That's why I'm confused why people would rather just "read it themselves." I mean, I'm sure there are podcasts like that out there, but that's not what podcasts are.
