***2024 Minnesota Vikings***

Isn't Fat Nate Stanley still with the Vikes? QB problem solved...
He was cut from the Vikings last year. Although he made just over $800K from 2020-2022 with the Vikings. Not a bad payday for a clipboard holder.

Assuming taking out agent fees and taxes, but still a nice chunk of change to start your post college life

No, it just gets harder.
Even though a team may have a top 5 pick, they still have to select the correct player. For example, I think Chicago regrets drafting Mitch Trubisky at #2 in 2017 instead of Mahomes who went #10. Or what about the Browns who selected Baker Mayfield #1 and the Jets who selected Sam Darnold #3 in 2018 ahead of Josh Allen who went #10? Then the Jets doubled down and went with Zack Wilson #2 in 2021!

The point being is even though a team has a high draft pick, it does not guarantee they will select the proper player.

Edit: what qb in this draft class would you be excited to get? It seems on the surface this qb class is deep, but there's really not a "gotta have" type of player. Certainly not a class where you feel you need to tank to get someone IMHO

He’s gone now. My Viking fandom has cooled considerably in the last 5 years, especially now with Brock doing his thing but I still can’t quit the Vikings. But if Purple Fat Stanley was the guy in Minnesota… then I’m out.

I think Fat Stanley now delivers pizza to CHA for men's basketball games.

Tommy Devitto doing okay for Giants. UDFA. Rookie. Brock Purdy. Mr. Irrelevant.

Good quarterbacks fall through the cracks. Tom Brady was a 6th rounder. Joe Montana late 3rd round.

I get neither has their QB but man…. I can’t believe either of these teams are playoff contenders
