***2024 Minnesota Vikings***

That's impressive. Honestly the last 4 game stretch has been great. The blowout against Dallas was weird but 3-1 against Buffalo, Dallas, NE and the Jets is really good.
And add the victory in Washington as game 5 of the stretch. The Commanders have played really well the last 8 weeks. 4-1 in that stretch by the Vikings is very impressive.

I also saw that they have one of the easiest going forward!
They're at the Lions next week, then home for the Colts and Giants. Then they finish the season at Green Bay and then at Chicago.

They're 2 games up on San Francisco, so they probably need to win 2 or 3 more to be safe in the #2 spot. The 3 seed wouldn't be awful. They'd still get a winnable game at home in the first round, but going on the road to San Francisco in the second round wouldn't be fun.

No, but it likely got easier today. Sorry, Brock.

Darrisaw being out really showed up today. Brandell has played decent, but he's not close to the dominant level of the Crime Dog. You go from arguably the best LT in the game to someone in the 35-40 range. Having him lock down the left side along with O'Neil being almost as good on the right side allows the Vikings to either provide help in the middle or flood the zones with more receiving threats.
Kirk got pressured too much today from the left side and didn't have time to let the routes develop. Crime Dog in the lineup probably produces 1or 2 more scoring drives which takes the burden off the defense and results in a comfortable win. I understand the decision to give Darrisaw more time to recover. I just don't want to end up with a damaged QB in the meantime.

I made this point before the game on a Vikes FB page and some dude came at me hard with how great the other guys are...

If MIN wins at DEF and SF loses vs. TB next week (both big maybes) then MIN is going to be in an incredibly strong position for a top 2 seed. Would've been nice for Miami to win today to help out, but Brock Purdy is gonna do Purdy things.

If you add a PHI win @ NYG on top of that, MIN is going to be in position to maybe get locked into the 2 seed very early. I wonder how KOC would play it if we were locked into the 2 seed no matter what with the two road games @ GB and @ CHI still left to play. Sit the starters for two games or what?
I'd look at sitting Z. He's still active but is supposed to be pretty beat up.

I'd limit Cook's snaps too. This also gives you a look at whether Kene or Chandler can be the backup next year.

Maybe I'm being too cynical, but it's hard for me to believe Darrisaw cleared protocol before the Cowboys game, then goes out right away again. Hindsight and all that, but it sure seems like playing him vs. Dallas might have been a mistake.

Darrisaw has to be reasonably healthy come playoff time. He's just a notch below Cousins and Jefferson in terms of value to the offense.

A lot of fun being made at the Vikings expense with Vegas making them dogs against the Lions, but they’ll be fine.
Very happy to have Danzler back.

Hockensen was great against the Bills. He’s been mostly a drops machine ever since.

He’s still a great additional weapon but his hands have been **** the last three weeks

What are you challenging? And why do the tv guys not understand a basic rule. He catches it, isn’t touched and his momentum carries him short of the line. That’s a Zim level dumbass challenge.
