The Cheez-Itz Bowl is now the Pop Tarts Bowl. The Lending Tree Bowl is now the 68 Ventures Bowl.

I'm sick of them getting rid of storied traditions in pursuit of the almighty dollar.

I am loving me the Pop Tarts bowl. So ridiculous.

Agree, I don't mind the sponsor name but keep the olde-timey name too. e.g. TaxSlayer Gator Bowl, Valero Alamo bowl..

That would be a reasonable request if 75% of these bowl games weren't less than 20 years old...

Bowl games continue to spiral downward. They'll never be irrelevant because people love watching CFB but their value is plummeting

I agree. There's no way to build any kind of tradition when you change the entire title every few years. Of course, I am hoping most of them go away.

I’ll go to my grave that Fleshlight missed a MASSIVE opportunity not buying the rights to the bowl in Vegas.

I had really come to like the Cheez it bowl

Always surprises me people still enjoy watching these. It’s football, but the product for most of the bowls sucks now and has for a few years.

Are you kidding?!

I wait all year to watch two 7-5 teams with 3-6 conference records duke it out in front of 9,000 fans a thousand miles from campus with 7 starters out due to grades or opt outs.

Donor lots opening at 8:30 AM for the CyHawk game is going to create a cluster. 100,000 people are all going to show up to tailgate at same time. I am only mildly exaggerating.

From looking at various Big 12 conference teams schedule, it seems like there are more 6 and 7 p.m CST games than in the past. Could be the norm going forward.

You are not exaggerating, you are understating the problem.
