ISU might have a fewer than ten donors personally backing the football program with the willingness and kind of money that can determine the program's future.
A&M probably has 100x that number. And most of them either hate each other or are crazy jealous of the others.

It probably doesn’t help that every decision they make is to spite Texas, or be better than Texas rather than just being a better program. They’re really in competition against Texas as opposed to their other competition in the SEC.
I don’t know their numbers, while they probably have a lot of rich donors, their top donors are probably way richer than our top donors; so you probably still have levels of influence. It’s just that they have a higher top level than we do.
The only reason to ever accept a head football coaching position at A&M is to see how much guaranteed money you can bank before they fire you.

Probably. But I’d take the known product in Stoops. Give Stoops unlimited NIL and facilities and I think he’s be great there. Elko riskier but might have a higher upside?
Makes all the sense in the world for Stoops if he wants to coach for 3-5 more years. Ring the cash register a few times and ride off into the sunset.
