The 365Sports guys discussed. Firing due to financial mismanagement of $240M and poor relations with big donors. That amount doesn't seem possible, but shows that Athletic Departments are as much financial entities as athletic entities.

ISU's President back in the day deserves praise for his vision to hire JP.

To be honest, even though I'm a Chip fan, he was never going to get it done at UCLA once it was moving to the B1G. He's struggled to get key players since the beginning and the schedule is about to get a lot harder. Made sense to jump while he still has some suiters.
