2023-2024 MBB computer projections thread

doesn't help 3 of the 5 are on the road and BYU is playing very well.

What many thought to be a winnable game could be an easy L.
With a couple of exceptions, "Front-9" of ISU schedule could be a mine field, if NET numbers stay close to the current level … That’s good news for Quad opportunities, but might not look pretty in W-L column.

(NET as of 12/7)
(16) at Oklahoma
(2) Houston
(164) Oklahoma State
(1) at BYU
(44) at TCU
(96) Kansas State
(15) Kansas
(6) at Baylor
(63) at Texas

I think if you can come through that at anything 4-5 or better, you should be really excited about the potential.

Talk about us beating up on the Blind Sisters of the Boars reminds me of this:

Looking at all these rankings is driving home one thing to me...

BYU, Cincinnati, Houston, and UCF were pathetic football adds (at least in the short term).

But very strong basketball adds -- even UCF is overperforming expectations right now. Houston is a legitimate contender for the national title, and BYU and Cincinnati look fiesty.

Road win at OU 1-0)
Welcome UH to Hilton Magic! (2-0)
Crush OSU (3-0)
At BYU, tough (3-1)
Road win 2 at TCU (4-1)
2 more home wins vs KSU & KU (6-1)
Followed by 2 road losses at BU and UT
(6-3)

I'll take it!

They'll be fine in football, it just takes a lot longer to turn over your roster in football than it does in basketball.

Yeah, I'm not worried in the long term. They have the profile of a "peer."

Just noticing they sucked at football but are hitting the ground running on the hardcourt.

Aaaaand next year Arizona joins the party.

Might want to break it to everyone that the metrics show us opening big 12 play with a 1-4 record to fend off the meltdown

Quick glance at the schedule and did not ck records. I say either 3-1 or 2-2
