2023-2024 Line Up

25, 33, 49, &57 all should be fun to watch it play out. Hope we eventually see Manny Rojas get his chance as well. Would love to see Kraisser get his last crack at the line up but business is business
I hope Manny spends the year competing at 165 and becoming adjusted to that weight. I don't want him wrestling up and then 24/25 being his first year competing at 165.

For ***** and giggles sipping my morning coffee:

25 - R16
33 - 57 - who knows. Gotta be one AA in there atleast, maybe two. And some decent points from a 3rd guy
65 - next question
74 - R16?
84 - mid AA
97 - NQ?
Hwt - mid AA

Where would this put us team wise?

I would guess around 10-11 again

Based on this we’d be looking at 55-60 points

So many factors it's really hard to predict what our lineup will be let alone where they'll finish. 165 and 184 are really the only top-5 type weights we have. Was just looking at the rankings on Flo and as things sit now 149 and 157 where we appear to be strong no matter who we roll out, are also pretty stacked weights nationally. 133 and 141 seem to be much less so (except at the very top). I'm usually much more for guys moving up and wrestling on full feed, but just given the makeup of our team right now it sure would be nice to get Redding to 133 and Casey or AE at 141. Doubt it will happen though.

After all the transfers, PSU, Iowa, Michigan look strong. Mizz, Cornell & Ohio State look decent. Then you have Us, Ok State, VT, NC State, ASU & Nebraska. 12 gos teams battling for top 10

Just for fun I'm picking a lineup and my expectations based on current roster:
125 - Kysen or Perryman - R12 to AA
133 - Cabanban or Grice - DNQ
141 Redding - AA
149 Paniro - High AA (Think Big 12 from last year guy)
157 Chittum - AA
165 Carr - Champ
174 MJ Gaitan - NQ (Pinner who could score points at nationals)
184 Feldkamp - AA (Pinner who should score bonus at nationals)
197 Broderson - NQ
Hwt - Yonger - AA

Team - Top 10 with 5+ AA's

125 - that’s a huge ask, but the guys are capable and 125 is wide open this year.
133 - Dresser thinks Grice is really good, so I think Grice is really good. NQ.
141 - Redding will do well, but 141 is stacked.
149 - wrong guy, right prediction.

I see the "high" of transfer season is wearing off. In April you all had me convinced we were locked in to the top 5 and hunting trophies. Now you all have me worried of we even make the top 10. Dammit! Quit playing with my emotions!

Lost a couple tossup transfers to other schools. Michigan spent a lot of money on transfers.

Nagao to PSU

Was hoping for Gomez, but also at Michigan (only with Cliff Keen, for now!!!)

125 - I've been predicting KT hitting AA level for the last 2 years. He's had many quality wins that prove he can compete with the top guys. Last year he was ranked in the top 5 at one time. Just needs to stay healthy, stay committed, and let it fly. IF Perryman beats him out I'll be all in on him this year too.
133 - I hope your right. I haven't seen him. Can anyone address the rumor on flunking a drug test? (I read it on this board) IF it did happen does anyone know the standard penalty?
141 - This weight is stacked which is why I'd rank 125 as a "more likely to AA" weight. However, Zach will be a Jr with a lot of great experience and he's already showed development. IF he can hold the weight and continue to improve then he can earn himself a podium spot.
149 - We will see... Paniro did nothing but impress me last year (until the NCAA's). On the flip side Casey struggled and dealt with injury most of the year (until the NCAA's). They pretty much had the opposite seasons to each other. I do think 149 will be a better weight for Casey but I think Paniro is a step ahead and can be the Champ. Either way we will have a hammer at 149.
