2022 RB Cartevious Norton Commits!

The Norwalk part seems similar. Googled IA:
What is IA suffix mean?
noun suffix. Definition of -ia (Entry 2 of 4) 1 : pathological condition hysteria.

Sounds about right for this site anyway.

I’m afraid to Google OH

@cyclone4L do we still seem to be sitting pretty solid with our other commits? Just wondering if there are any rumblings about other suiters coming in or recruits having second thoughts. Always appreciate your insight and contributions.

All that and he is the player that drags down ISU's class ranking. That is why recruiting rankings have to taken with a large grain of salt. Having a kicker, punter or long snapper in your class - even if elite - will generally negatively impact your class ranking.

Yep. Which is a strong reason why the class rankings should not include specialists.

Five-star or top 4 punter in the nation, and he gets 79 points in the rankings? Considering the importance of field position in the game of football, how does that make sense for a premier player?

Someone here probably has an explanation. Please offer it.

You guys care way too much about rankings but really don't understand how little that punter drops ours. Hint it's less than .004.

Hey, it's opinion, and both sides can be argued.

My side is this: If a kid is regarded as four- for five-star talent, then why do you rank him at 79 rather than 89 or higher? If he's regarded as elite, why do you assign points to him that indicate he is a lower two-star?

Explain that, please.

15 years or so ago we had a PWO from Gilbert that turned out to be an elite gunner. Doesn't mean he was a top 10 prospect from the state.

Who was the last Punter drafted in the first round?

Dog.
Taking his official this weekend.
Clemson, Florida State, Minnesota and others are interested.

hopefully, he liked what he saw...and heard! That game atmosphere was incredible. Way to represent, Cyclone Nation! Props to us.

I have nothing. Sorry. I do hope we get a good punter though.

My guess, no real inside knowledge or anything, is that the guys scouting and ranking the players aren't really even pretending to know what they're doing with specialists. So they kinda gentleman's agreement out of ranking any specialists highly, even though they're very important to the actual game.

Again, no idea if it's true but what I would think is the case, even though I don't agree with the thinking.
