I haven't watched an actual Gonzaga game this season, just highlights. Is Hunter Sallis a contributer? Can he shoot?

Richmond beat Umass 71-38. Umass shot 24% from the field, 1/16 from 3 lol.

Not as much as you might expect. I've watched a couple of their games this year, and hadn't really noticed him as a factor. I wondered about that myself last night, so I looked it up, and I think he's averaging something like 4.3 points and 2.5 rebounds.

Just seems completely arbitrary and even a bit capricious. No logic behind it.

Only logic that I can think of is that it allows all athletes recruited under different rules to clear out of the program. With the transfer rules being more loose in the past for FCS, I guess that may have been a concern?

That's exactly what it is. The academic standards are higher to qualify for DI. The 4 year wait is so that your entire roster is cleared through the clearinghouse under DI standards.

That kind of surprises me, I figured it would be all the same (or that the standards at d3 would be higher since so many of them are small private schools).

That being said, I guess I can see it if you’re part of a division giving out athletic scholarships/the money and attention is so much higher.

I live in central NY and I've never been to an NCAA tournament game, so forgive my ignorance. If we end up playing the first round in Albany, is it possible for a little peon like me to get a couple tickets, or do you have to be a donor or some kind of high-end alumni to get a ticket? I know each university in this region/section gets a certain number of tickets and then they distribute them accordingly, but is that the only way to get into the game? Thanks in advance.

You'll be able to get tickets via stubhub, vividseats, or wherever. And tickets are for 2 games, meaning our game and the game either prior or after depending on when we play.

To get tickets through the university's allotment you usually will have to be some kind of donor. The allotment is generally pretty small, just a few hundred tickets.

It looks like the site is sold out, so you'd likely have to get them on the resale market.
