I'm on it! but I have absolutely no experience! LOLWell this is an opportunity to combine CB's and S's under Broomfield and have a open spot for the coveted Special Teams Coordinator.
So you all better be getting your resumes ready LOL
He's not new to ISU. He was here 2 years ago. But it is the best time to set new standards that are probably necessary.I'll bet players hate when new Strength and Conditioning coaches come in. New guy, trying to set the new standard of hard work.
People are just pissy over last season. They need to get a grip and move on.I also dont understand the Mt Union bashing of hiring coaches. The likely NFL coach of the year is a Mt Union guy.
Check out my post on the Clanton thread.@1UNI2ISU Think this is a good hire for the Cyclones?
Honest opinion. Would Ryan Clanton leave for the ISU line coach job?
2 open positions then?
Anyone opposed to Ryan Clanton (UNI, line coach and OC). He makes $100K annually. We can likely triple that to get him in-line with where Myers was at for 10% the output
99.9% of the the time, I'd say 'YES', completely unequivocally. The money is in a different stratosphere and the vast majority of guys that get into coaching do it to advance and get to the highest level.
He falls in the .1% where I can honestly say 'I don't know'. He's super comfortable in his own skin and has repeatedly talked about having everything he needs in Cedar Falls. Married a local girl and just loves small town kids. I think from a personality standpoint he'd fit in well at Iowa State, he's quiet, he's not flashy and he just goes to work every day.
I think he's very good at what he does but I also think that UNI's success in getting kids in the league right now is more a product of our S&C guy than it is the football staff.
Good call - I put out the APB just to be sure.Sometimes I think about the guy that started the "Don't expect many if any changes in offense" thread and wonder if he's ok.
As one of those dudes worried we wouldn't do enough, I'm pretty happy with the moves made.Sometimes I think about the guy that started the "Don't expect many if any changes in offense" thread and wonder if he's ok.
