2019 Women's World Cup

Yep, Watching! I am a fan of both the USWNT and the USMNT. Here are a couple of pics from when I saw the USWNT play New Zealand @ Nippert Stadium in 2017.

The 2nd place finisher in group F faces an easier draw in the next round. But I've heard the players saying they want to play France.

Fast paced 30 minutes so far. Spain answered quickly to even it up.

Crystal Dunn sorta drives me nuts. She's normally solid on defense, but she seems like a liability when they ask her to push up with the offense. So many heavy touches.

No Horan???? I feel better when Carly Lloyd is playing, too. This is THE game right here. This is the one we should be pulling out all of the stops for.

I'm fairly ignorant when it comes to women's soccer and get most of my info from the men in blazers but if those guys think it's crazy not to have Horan in there then it makes me wonder.

From listening to them it seems to be akin to starting game 1 of the finals with LeBron coming off the bench.

Ertz and Lavelle are automatic starters in the midfield 3 at this point, so it basically comes down to Horan or Mewis for that last spot. I think overall Horan is the better player, but Mewis has been in fantastic form in both the pre-WC warmups as well as in the WC itself. It’s a surprising move, but I wouldn’t say it’s the craziest thing in the world.

I assure you it’s not that serious haha. I just think they are much less susceptible on counters with Horan playing.

Edit: looks like France is setting up 4-3-3. So I guess they are going to try and play with us.

Mewis passes to the other team too much.

Hell yes. Big goal! I have to say I really care about this because I’m going to be in NYC for the final and I really want to go to a watch party in NYC.
