2011 Offers Thread

Anyone know the status on Everett Pleasant? I see he is the 31st rated TE in the country and we are his only offer. Is that because of his knee? Does it look like we are the leader for him?

Pleasant will likely be the next guy to commit. Anyone know if we are still interested in Makinton Dorleant? He decommitted from Wisconsin, and is back on the market.
 
Pleasant missed his entire senior season because of a knee injury, hence the reason for lack of offers.

Sounds like Lalk will end up on the O-line, but I agree, how many TE's do we need?

I guess I'd rather see us land a stud DE that can put pressure on the opposing QB versus another TE. We have Hammerscmidt, Howard, Richardson, Ernst Brun, and probably Daniels too. That's 5. Do we need 6 scholarship TE's?
 
I think Pleasant is more of a big reciever than he is a TE (close to the same thing). We have the little speedster recievers in West and Lampkin, and now the staff is looking at the bigger recievers like Ecby, Babineaux, and Pleasant

Will Donnie Jennert ever be a factor for us? I was really excited when we got him, and thought he looked really good in the spring game. He has Todd Blythe written all over him IMO.

I also was very ecstatic when he signed and very surprised he didn't see playing time this season. Rivals had him as one of 5 non 4-5 star guys that could be big time sleepers in his class.

Its not about not liking the depth. We have two committs right now(Lynn and Richardson), but we lose 3 of our guys out of the secondary after next season(Benton, Johnson, and Young). By recruiting them this year we are giving them a year to grow and then put them on the field. I think the fact we are going back after Dorleant tells me that Gaines will be headed elsewhere.

he had an illness this fall that kept him out of practice and he lost a bunch of weight (if I remember correctly).
 
well.. i dont have a whole lot to contribute, but Josh Grady and Ruben Gonzalez will be here this weekend i know. Rivals has Quenton Bundrage visiting this weekend as well. Everret Pleasant is visiting on the 14th.

anyone know of other visits? or whats going on with Bojay Filimoeatu? i'd like to add him to the D-line, and i think we're still the only visit he's taken
