That foul on White at the end of OT was crap. The guy just blew a dunk and got bailed out by a phantom foul.
Yes,every fan base does it-most of the time its justified. Makes me wonder how some of these refs look at games-its frustrating. But 100%, Kansas is not that good-ranking is only based on reputation and potential. Iowa or Iowa State can beat them-no doubt in my mind after seeing them twice this weekend. Villanova has a good team and a good coach.
The foul that knocked McCabe out of the game was a joke as well. I wouldn't blame any fan for complaining about the officiating in the games down there. Those refs were extremely whistle happy.
Im totally fine with ISU fans calling the Texas game and kansas game as wins. If the reff calls the charge or doesn't call the foul on Niang with a second left, Iowa State wins. Both calls were blatantly wrong therefore I'm fine with Iowa state fans refusing to view that game as a loss. If the reff calls the fumble like it should been Iowa state wins. Those were fairly unique situations where controversially calls were made in the closing seconds that swung both games in an complete 180.
i wanted iowa to be undefeated coming in. that game was similar to the iowa game in CF a couple years ago that looked rigged for UNI.
HN houses some of the lowest common denominator sports fans that I've encountered. I mean, Jon started a thread this morning with the video of Rhoads in the locker room from yesterday and took shots at him. Gives you an idea of why the ignorance is so strong there.
Normal refs do not call a ton of fouls in overtime. Normal refs. These were Bahama ballroom refs.

I agree with this. Lots of mouth-breathing losers. Every fan base has them, but there's something about that site that draws them like a magnet.
I don't know if it was the same play, but there was a call on McCabe that looked pretty clean from the shoulders on up. Down low, however, he got the Villanova player excessively hard with a hip check. Iowa's bigs tend to do this more than most teams when contesting shots or going for rebounds.
Actually, I think they might have with UNI a few years ago. But did it really matter. Iowa was terrible, and instead of taking it and coming back an getting better, the ******* took their ball and went home. But what ever. Now we have the whatever 4 thing, so I guess we should thank them. It was just funny though.
