Completely different from mainstream rap though... no hooks/choruses, very short songs, obscure samples, etc. His lyrical skills and flow are amazing, though. I'd suggest to check it out, even if you are normally not a big rap fan.

Man, I have such a love/hate relationship with DOOM. He's great, especially with Madlib, but it's too bad he's fallen off the face of the earth. He was supposed to play two nights at the Independent in SF, then the Rock the Bells festival the same week last year. First night at the Independent he sends a standin up on stage for him, who lip syncs for 15 minutes then leaves. Next night, he doesn't show. Also a no show at the festival.

Get it together, DOOM.
