Man, I have such a love/hate relationship with DOOM. He's great, especially with Madlib, but it's too bad he's fallen off the face of the earth. He was supposed to play two nights at the Independent in SF, then the Rock the Bells festival the same week last year. First night at the Independent he sends a standin up on stage for him, who lip syncs for 15 minutes then leaves. Next night, he doesn't show. Also a no show at the festival.

Get it together, DOOM.

Yeah, he has some crazy antics, and honestly, probably not someone I would spend money to see live, just because of the chance that he mails it in. But when he is on, he is on.

But at least he SEEMS to be starting to release some stuff again - just released a new song on his myspace which is pretty good, and is supposedly releasing a new MF DOOM album soon. And when is his collab with Ghostface gonna come out? That thing has been rumored for years!
