    In Phoenix 11/14 - 11/22

but the man is right. let him be. denver is a classy city! phoenix is not even a city. it is a loose collection of suburbs with one hour drives to everywhere.

    Denver recommendations

Park Burger is good, a new location opened up too. Two total. Rivals Cherry Cricket. Highlands has a ton of restaurants. Euclid Hall has some great pub food in Lodo. The Food truck scene is picking up and will be pretty big downtown during a weekday. A lot of good trucks to try there. I...

Arnaud OUT for Season... most likely... Future starts next Week

i was impressed with tiller today actually. he did some very nice things with a few boo-boo's too. obviously he was running for his life most of the time. this is not to bash arnaud, but the following was nice to see: 1) his head was turning, when the first option was not there, he looked...

    Scott Christopherson

i think this thread was more of a comparison of skill sets and style, not so much on actual success and results. jake and hoiberg were both very good at what they did with different style of play.

    Scott Christopherson

and don't get me wrong, i like jake and he was good at what he did (free throws and 3pters). but he was not nearly the creator that sc is. not as good at passing off the drive, not as many tricks in his bag at finishing the drive either.

    Scott Christopherson

i guess it was too long ago for me to remember. i do remember jake being amazing with jamaal and kantrail setting him up, but struggling many times to score after they graduated. if jake is the not the definition of set shooter i do not know what is. i guess i should have compared sc to lucca...

    Scott Christopherson

my bad i didn't mean to criticize what you were saying just trying to get my 2cents in. i should have quoted a different previous poster. there were multiple previous posts that acted like sc was just a set shooter (jake sullivan mold). sc has much more all around game than just a nice shot.

    Scott Christopherson

i agree that sc is not at hoiberg's level, but sc is far from just a one trick pony. I thought he was the most aggressive player last year at being able to create dribble penetration. he is always looking to get in the mix of things and slash at the d. this did lead to a lot of turnovers, but...

    Hamilton's dad on Greg

it's one thing to be not nice and a hard coach, it's one thing to have double expectations depending on which player you are. you cannot possibly respect a system if other people get free passes when you bust your ***. i don't think ham minded working hard and didn't mind having a tough coach...

    Scouts thoughts on Brackins

first of all stlouisclone never said we were losing nba talent we are losing dleague or euro league talent and it's not like we were better or worse with mt or wj. we've been very medicore to bad the entire mcd timeline regardless of the players.

Brackins now a second round pick?

maybe he didn't get worse because talent doesn't really go bad, but he did not perform nearly as well as he did his sophomore year. his per40 stats are way down, not 10% more like 25% and his 2P fg% shooting was also way down 51% vs 45%. worse yet, he got exposed this year. a list of his...

    It's amazing.

the thing is uni relies on defense. sure craig or gil may be able to score (and pretty inefficiently), but they are not nearly as competent at defense. our whole entire team is not competent at defense. i mean kansas had to work for every single thing and kansas turned over the ball quite...

    It's amazing.

i think a lot of it is the way the players of uni play. i became absolutely disgusted by the way our team played all season long: incredibly selfish, no help defense, terrible 1 on 1 isolations, constant sulking/complaining, backing down from competition, terrible fundamentals, and a lack of a...

    Congratulations

unforunately we are a long way away from uni. the way they play defense is tremendous. kansas lights us up for 90 pts pretty easily, but they way every single one of uni's players moves their feet to get into position is incredible. also, their help defense and rotations are quick and well...

    2009-2010 Season evaluations

EXACTLY!! i think cb was basically given a free pass both by fans and by our coach just because he stayed. I felt that his performance had a negative impact to our team, and thanks to cy1010 this observation has some statistical backing looking at cb's +/- when on court and when off court...

    2009-2010 Season evaluations

First of all why is this different from last year? we have the same guy feeding the post. Second of all Hamilton and Dendy did not disappear even though they weren't usually part of the offensive set. They would generate a lot of offensive rebounds, putbacks, and hustle balls. i agree we do...

    2009-2010 Season evaluations

wow cy1010 very nice link! it really ain't pretty. most big12 games we did play better without cb on the court. that's not good for an allconference/allamerican player. and true dbuck only made 9 threes but he only really had one crack at it a game 15 minutes into the first half when our...

    2009-2010 Season evaluations

buckley made some mistakes, but he was generally better at getting the ball into the paint to our post players than garrett. and his 3 pt shooting (43 % in conferense) was a nice surprise. i still don't understand why he didn't get that much playing time. i think buck easily should have...

    2009-2010 Season evaluations

it really is not just the raw stats. however, i think if we had a compiled +/- stat, it would be telling. it's the fact that at critical times our pre-season all-american would disappear, and not just for a couple minutes but entire halves. it 's the fact that he had no tenacity on defense...
