    I assume they have some workaround because they awarded it to Daktronics as a single bidder. Potentially because it's a specialty scope of work or something similar.

    It does look like they awarded everything from their scoreboard bid last fall which means Hilton's new board will be going in soon and we will have way bigger video boards at Trice too. I don't remember if everything gets installed this year or next though.

    Honestly WVU and Cinci not being protected is as big of a miss as ISU-KSU. You guys travel enough as is, it'd be nice if they would've helped you out a little bit.

    It just feels like 4 protected rivalries in a 16 team conference is going too far the wrong way for me. Maybe it's the future now but it makes everything feel like more of a scheduling alliance than an actual conference. I guess we're all just in wait-and-see mode until the ACC blows up anyway.

    I assume they didn't want to change the white helmet more than once this year so they spent extra time getting it ready for the Jack Trice game. Now that it's done I bet we see the old white helmets again soon.

    Update from Council Bluffs today Hy-Vee had Ames Lager, the hazy IPA, and 12-packs of Clonefest. Sounds like demand was through the roof on Clonefest and they decided to have a second run.

    I assume if they do increase the videoboard size for the full length of the structure that the next thing they will replace will be the sound system since it's currently behind the faded out logos in the north endzone.
