Is there a way to bring this back towards the reasonable track the thread once had? Let's all simmer this thing down.

So, you dropped out your junior year because of your coke problem?
Hey, Hawk fans, wanna see a drive? Check out Arnaud on the last drive against UNLV. Even though it was against a poor team, it was 10x the drive Stanzi lead against PSU. It was longer, less time on the clock, no timeouts, and a last second TD. He also had a Wallace-esque scramble on 3rd and 9 to get a first AND got out of bounds.
Good point. I'd take Arnaud's play in crunch time against UNLV over Stanzi's against Penn State any day. Arnaud was spectacular on that last drive both throwing and running and he did it without the benefit of a home crowd and a bailout call by the refs. And despite the W/L argument, I don't hold AA responsible for the defense giving up about 100 yards in personal foul penalties in the first half and deciding not to cover UNLV's best receiver in overtime.

Are you kidding me? Iowa beat Penn State, we lost. You can all the spectacular losses you want. I'll take the W, thank you. Let's go lose one for the gipper!
Jay Cutler lost a lot of games at vandy and lo and behold went pretty dang high in the nfl draft. The same league where the amount of players bottle necks like crazy and the talent level shoots thru the roof.
Just goes to show that wins and losses are not the end all of a good college quarterback.
And Cutler still doesn't know how to win. There is a reason his teams don't get it done, and the problem is his crappy attitude.
By the way, AA has a superior attitude..gotta love the kid!
Here's a question for you that might just solve this argument. If you put Stanzi in place of AA last season, with a bad defense, a so-so OL, and not much running game, does RS win more games? My answer is NO. If you put AA in place of RS, with a good defense, a good OL, and a stellar RB, does he win as many or more games than RS? I would say YES!
I think also answers the question of who is the better QB.
AA can make all of the plays RS made last year, and I think he has as good, if not better, leadership and decision making skills.
Assuming everything plays out the same way - Arnaud starts as backup for Jake, O'Keefe is still there - which games would Iowa have won with Arnaud as opposed to Stanzi?
Arnaud can hand it off to Green just as well as Stanzi!![]()
Seriously though, I think Arnaud could have won any of the games Stanzi started in, and I think AA would have made it an easier decision to bench Jake sooner.
Do you disagree?
