You realize Larry is 74-78 at S. Miss, don't you?

So are you going to support Mac no matter what happens the next 2 years?
Still think he was the best coach ISU ever had.

Agreed!! Larry is my favorite. Southern Miss is lucky to have him...and we're STUCK with McDermott and his brutal, losing style.
UGGHHHH. At least with Larry's teams, every player knew their role and you knew exactly the kind of effort you would get from his teams every game.
you realize he doesn't drink anymore, don't you?
When GMac Fails next year....lets just go and get Larry back. Please? I loved LE!!!
The crowd that filled the airwaves and internet calling LE a dirtbag, drunk, etc, helped make the decision easy for BV to run him out of here. Probably the same crowd that helped JP get rid of Morgan. LE had some big off court problems at the time, including some that some people probably don't know about. Imo the compassionate and right decision would have been to put him on 6 months or a year leave of absence to go thru rehab and get his life in order. Morgan could have ably run the program until Larry got back. I'd bet the last 3 years would have been a whole lot better with a rehabbed LE and Morgan running the show. As a season ticketholder, I don't know if I can take another year like the last 3.
I have a hard time believing a religious person wouldn't show some compassion.
Orr had the greatest impact, but Tim Floyd was the best "coach" and recruiter in my opinion.

BVDV did not like Eustachy at all...but couldn't do anything about it (because of Larry's 2 Big 12 titles) until the pics in the Des Moines Register came out...Larry would often be late or send assistant coach to banquets and obligations in which he would be asked to speak to the public...there was also an incident where Chris Alexander had not been around the school for a while, and he came back right before conference play started...Administration wanted Chris to sit for a while, but Larry played him big minutes on New Year's Eve...Personally, I was a big Larry fan, but Bruce wasn't about to be giving Larry a second chance...also, I'm not sure I could ever send my kid to play for Larry after seeing some of the tirades he has had on players...but he is a great coach, no denying that.
