Those types of websites find articles online and then rewrite them in effusive, flowerly, verbose style and often include photos that don't pertain. BNN Breaking is another one. Recently the latter started using releases from us, with twice as many words as needed and in weirdly positive styles. Big ugh.The story said Connor had a fairly phenomenal career at Iowa. While shooting 38 times a game in a predominantly segregated (bit of a difference) SEC.Pistol Pete did it in three years, without a three point line, against men. Not women(bit of a difference). Records should be separate. Sorry if that offends anyone.

I think it's silly to compare the two, but Pistol Pete was a chucker who played for his daddy.
Rumor is Fox is offer both her and Bueckers $2 mil to come back for Covid years. I saw where Buecker was coming back.
Right now? I'd take Clark.Do you think Clark could beat Pete Marovich?
He averaged over 24 points a game in a desegregated NBA so it's not like he wasn't a stud. While shooting 38 times a game in a predominantly segregated (bit of a difference) SEC.

Of course Pistol would beat her, like every other men's college basketball player.
The Men's Division 2 all time scorer scored over 4,000 points. Why aren't they considered over Maravich? Oh, because it's a different division.
I just think it's silly to say someone is the all time leading scorer in a sport when players didn't play in the same division, gender, age level, the same amount of games, etc.
Congrats to Clark though. It's a great accomplishment. (Even though Lynette Woodard scored about 400 more points in her career).
I don’t know why we get so excited about career points. Career PPG is a better indicator of how good someone was at scoring over their time playing.
I know Clark could have this record, but IMO it’s a much better indicator due to an uneven schedule over careers.
What’s the story with Woodard? The Men's Division 2 all time scorer scored over 4,000 points. Why aren't they considered over Maravich? Oh, because it's a different division.

college women were under AIAW until 1982 and Woodard played in late 70's, thus "technically" her record is not NCAA record, but AIAW record. What’s the story with Woodard?
Why isn’t she recognized in the record books?

I will take ghost PeteWell he's dead, so I would take Clark in a one on one match up.
Looking it up, think she's roughly tied for 1st in career ppg at 28.3 (the other being Patricia Hoskins, who played for Mississippi Valley State back in the 80s)
Didn't she just go 6 for 32 with 1 assist? She may break the scoring record, but it will be a long long long time before anyone can put up the scoring plus assist numbers CC has put up. I get it, she's a hawk, you hate it. But to me, she's an Iowan I watched grow up who has done things that won't be done for a long time. The girl from USC is going to break whatever record Clark sets. Juju is transcending the sport.
