Time for a Real Discussion About Caitlin Clark

Anybody who watched the NBA game last night laughs when CC is mentioned as a generational talent. She is an outstanding shooter, but my god, someone will break her record.

Honest question. Will she make the cut on a WNBA team? Politics and PR aside does she have the size and skill to compete at that level?
This can't be a serious question.

She'll be the no doubt number one pick and end up on multiple Olympic teams. She's 6 foot tall with a crazy quick release and an elite passer. Honestly, Tyrese Haliburton is a pretty decent comp if you want to use somebody in the NBA with the caveat that there are just flat more turnovers in the women's game regardless of the player.

Do you think Clark uses her covid year to come back to Iowa next year?
The question is, does she want to continue to be around 18-22-year-old college kids, go to class (granted, it is probably online, but it still has to be 9 credit hours), play college basketball, and live in the routine of college life?

Or does she want to challenge herself against the best women's basketball players in the world in the WNBA and then work to find ways to grow the game in the WNBA offseason so she doesn't have to play overseas? Plus have the ability to go to the Superbowl, NFL Playoff games, college football playoffs, NBA games, the Masters, and all the other things you see high-profile athletes doing in their offseason. Who knows, I'm sure one of the networks would probably hire her to do color work for them.

Rumor is Fox is offer both her and Bueckers $2 mil to come back for Covid years. I saw where Buecker was coming back.

Maybe my question was a poorly written, but given how challenging it is to make a WNBA roster there is no guarantee she will stick with a team. True, that goes with any draft pick in any league, but I think it is a fair question. Also, I've watched maybe one-quarter of WNBA so I have no idea how her game translates to that league.

She will play in the WNBA for a long time.

Sorry, I'm not convinced that she will be a star in the wnba.

I know people have been saying Caitlin and Conner were dating for months, but there were others contesting that, saying that was not true. According to this article, it is true.

What the hell is quangnam247?

Then I feel sorry for her.

She might be the best colleg women's player I've ever watched. That being said, how is she "transcending" the sport? Which sport? Just college women's basketball? Because she shoots a lot of threes? Is it the distance she shoots from? I mean, she's a sub 40% career 3 pt shooter. Which is still good don't get me wrong. Is it because she plays a lot like a male in the way she passes and shoots? Honest question.

Juju plays defense too. Might be a better all around player than CC, but a little too early to say for sure…. she’s only a freshman.
JuJu is more of a team player and does not shoot nearly as many attempts as CC. If she wants to catch CC, she will have to shoot more and her teammates will have to watch more.. like they do at Iowa.

Watkins has averaged 22.8 field goal attempts per game as a freshman. Clark is currently averaging 22.7 field goal attempts per game, the highest of her college career (next highest was 19.8 as a sophomore).
