2024 Football Schedule

Would you rather play in a 60/40 neutral site or on campus with 100% fans against you?

And KU home games are not the same as 2014 anymore.

Ive been to every KU game since 2014. 2022 was marginally different. More people sure but the atmosphere blows, and the crowd had zero factor in the game.

Arrowhead vs Memorial is going to be indifferent at best. I can't believe that many more ISU fans come down versus a 20 minute shorter drive.

I'm seeing a 40 minute difference in drive time per google. So a bit longer.

But I also see a difference in terms of what people might do in terms of their trip. When its in KC, i think some may opt to do what they did when we had the KSU series and make a weekend of it, hitting up the P&L and such.

Hopefully that's the case. I just certainly dont think its going to be a sellout or were going to bring 30k like saw a few posts on twitter today. We typically travel very well to Lawrence anyway so I think the difference between venues is immaterial. And thanks for making me rethink those two games.

as much as WVU improved, I don't think they will beat Penn State.....Penn State still from a talent perspective, really outweighs WVU in that department...Morgantown will be rocking for that game though.
PSU has the more talented team, but it was 14-7 psu at the half last year @ PSU.

WVU's qb was making his 1st start in front of 110000 people, and wvu wasnt playing the wrs and rb who ended up starting most of the season.

PSU has no offense. If GG is on, WVU will score on PSU. J. White and CJ donaldson are one of the best rb tandems in the country. WVU led all power 5 teams in rushing last season, and returns everyone except our all big 12 center.

And has added a starting wr from oklahoma state for depth.

PSU has more talent, but a mobile qb can equal the field. PSU will be favored, but i expect a much higher scoring output than last year from WVU.

with deep pass threat, a running qb with real wheels, and j white and cj donaldson, plus all the tes and wrs back--wvu should be hard to stop.

PSU may outscore WVU, but they'll have to do it. PSU's defense wont shut down wvu like it did at times last season.

my biggest concern is psu hired kansas' offensive coor. who is extremely good with motion and formations. PSU's offense will be harder to stop next year too.

WVU might be my 2nd favorite team in the B12. Definitely my favorite road trip I've made. I'll absolutely be cheering on WVU over PSU.

All that said, I have a hard time believing that WVU is the under-the-radar juggernaut that you describe them as. I won't lie, I saw next to nothing of WVU last year. My takeaway was that Neal Brown saved his job and WVU did well with a seemingly favorable schedule. I very much struggle with Garret Green being the best QB in the big 12. Last I saw of him was a guy who could run but struggled with most other facets of the game.

I will be watching to see if you're right or not next year though.

I'm a fan of this schedule. We'll likely be 2-1 heading into conference play (since Campbell can't beat Iowa) and this is one of the easier schedules in conference. @utah, @Kansas, and @WVU are the only games that seem tough, and we should win at least 1 of them.

Why buy season tickets if all you are looking to do is re sell them.

Well we've gotten 4 tickets the last few years, 2 of which are for the kids. Sometimes they either can't go, or really, really don't want to go (freezing games or stuff going on with friends). So it's nice to be able to recoup some of that cost by reselling those tickets...

Hell, believe it or not, there might be a game once every few seasons that none of us can make it (crazy, I know!). It makes a difference if you are able to sell those tickets for $75 each instead of $25 each. Nobody is buying season tickets with intentions to sell them all, as you'd definitely lose your ass.. duh.

I’m excited for the season. We finally out rid of OuT and it’s awesome parity just like with our basketball season.
We are at the big kids table and it will be a rock fight ever game.

Gonna play devil's advocate here: if resell is below face value, why get season tickets?

We got season tickets to the local ECHL hockey team here and have learned that it would have been quite a bit cheaper to scalp tickets for every game.

Factor in the donation required to get good ISU season tickets and that would be an even bigger savings.

If that happens for a few years in a row there will likely be donors who get wise to it and go that route.

Possibly would work out but if you like your seats and want parking then you get season tickets. Parking Passes are in higher demand than tickets most weeks. That $100 parking fee for a season ticket is cheap. The market for most lots is at or above $100 for parking, better than most tickets resell value.

Some people probably sell the Iowa game or one other big game and greatly curtail the cost of their package.
That certainly helps explain all of the trolls in the parking lots wandering around with their warm cases of bud lite and wearing black shirts with yellow parakeets on them.
