Time for a Real Discussion About Caitlin Clark

How long are they going to drag out ******** about that damn call? I may blow a gasket they next time I hear a Hawkeye make a remark about ISU complaining about refs. Between this, CC, and the whole mbb team it's ingrained in their culture.
You throw in our win in Kinnick with that last drive, CC in the NC game, Minnesota last year and this the nonsense they start their whining with "not to sound like an Iowa State fan but these officials were out to get us again" ....no you sound just like most Iowa fans including now making stupid shirts about them ******** about a call so Raygun can get those people looking even dumber for wearing the shirt lol dummies.

Murph interviewing the dumb **** who made a ****** sign at the world series was a real low for local media in this state... and that is saying something.

You've nailed it. I'm sure it was completely accidental running into that gal. Her reaction was too quick to have been the process of any actual thought. But to lay there, have to be helped off and doubling down on it in your press conference is where she totally loses me. Once she'd had a moment to process, she decided it was an opportunity to make this about her and she definitely took it.

And kind of made her coach look like an idiot when you read Bluder’s statement then watch the footage.

Really the statement from Bluder and the knee jerk reaction apologies from Ohio St are what look the most silly (other than Iowa fans demanding jail time).

The OSU apologies were indeed knee jerk, but it's hard to blame them because how could they have suspected a player would ever pull off such a ridiculous stunt.

They have to apologize in that situation. The players belong on the court, the fans don't. That being said, a player should be aware of her surroundings and not run at full speed through a crowded court just like the fan shouldn't have been. The point is there is more than enough blame to go around. If CC would have walked off the court with her teammates and her security this never would have happened.

The wording of Bluder's statement is just wrong in hindsight though, she got misled by her player faking the situation as far worse than it was. I almost don't blame her, in the heat of the moment I may have done the same thing, but read it and watch the video and she sounds like a fool.

This 100%. When I first saw the headline on the internet "OHIO FAN RUN OVER C.C." I thought they fans rushed the floor at the very end of the game and there was no opportunity for C.C. to get out of the way. When I watched the video, I thought to myself "why is C.C. running at a sprint towards that fan?"

If people stopped filming **** for their ******* Instagram reels that no one is going to watch anyway, none of this would ever have happened.

To be fair, Clark wasn't filming and she was just as culpable in the collision as the fan was. Luckily people were filming so we got more than the one shot of what happened to dispel the "I was blindsided by a fan" take that Clark put out there.

She does have to stick up for her players though. She may not know that CC was faking the severity of it. CC is the one who made her coach look like a moron.

If you look at the other angles posted, it is obvious that CC was the instigator and was looking for attention to deflect from their loss.
I think she was angry and looking to take it out on someone that was cheering against her. There was no reason for her to be sprinting off the court while fans are running on. She wanted to hit someone... and did.
