*** Official #24 IOWA STATE vs #19 TCU Game(Day) Thread ***

In your punchable face, Jamie Dixon.
You don’t like the comb over?
RJones and Ward both with 4 fouls. I thought TJ did a pretty good job managing that, but it also affected their aggressiveness and probably resulted in a few TCU rebounds.

Along with Gilbert and CJones, Watson played great.

The team kept responding to TCU runs when they could've easily collapsed. Hung on at the end for a HUGE road win!
omaha played some key minutes in the first half

Should have won going away, we were lucky games are 40 minutes and not 41.
I don’t understand, did another team build that lead to 19 then our players were put in the game? Playing a ranked team on the road and we play well enough to build a big enough lead it would have taken a ton of luck for TCU to win, and you’re upset we didn’t win by more? Our metrics are aleady super high. Besting TCU by 1 or blowing them out will have no bearing on the rest of the season.

When we were up 72-67, the TCU guy used his right arm to shove Watson out of the way & the ensuing offensive rebound led to an easy score. If that sequence happens at the 10:35 second mark, instead of the 35 second mark, it is called a foul against TCU. It was a blatant push off. Watson had good enough a position to secure the ball or, at the very least, a tie-up. In another sequence (late in the game), there was a scrum on the floor off a TCU miss - they were able to get it and drop in a floater. My point is that 4 points from offensive RBs toward the end of the game had nothing to do with "positioning." But, yes, we still had some bad block outs at times. Watson played awesome today & Biliew gave us some great minutes in the first half!
I see ZRF finally gets to vent on BRE playing too much.

By how much?
We were up 12 with 4:23 left, should have had a comfortable 8-10 point win.

I'm not taking anything away, that was a huge win on the road and the best team effort I've seen for 35 minutes, but it shouldn't have been that close. We completely dominated them.

I actually thought before the tip, Iowa State would come out on top. I had the vibe we’d drop that one in Provo, Utah when the game came out on the schedule. I think we paste Kansas State next Tuesday. Question, that game on ESPN 2 anybody can confirm?
This was always the one of the two that we were more likely to win. It’s just matchups. Our traps leave a lot of open 3s, especially in the corner. Byu can regularly hit those, tcu not so much.

I think you should do yourself a favor and get off of this forum, watch the rest of the Big 12 season in silence, then MAYBE come back next year so you don’t sound like a ******* moron.

BYU is a much harder road venue as well. No familiarity, mountain time, pretty oddly politely hostile crowd.
