***2024 Minnesota Vikings***

Glad Hall is getting the start. Mullens is a backup to throw in a game or 2 if needed during the season but we aren't going anywhere with him. Let's see what the rookie has!
I think the jury is clearly out on Hall. The Vikings had no interest in winning this game. Their interest is getting a higher draft pick.

Bercich with a good point I’ve always wondered about also. Play is ruled short of the goal line on the field. No official signals touchdown. Lafleur throws a challenge flag. Refs get together and say the ruling on the field was TD. Even though nobody signaled TD. GB not charged a challenge.
It was odd. Even more odd was how the official missed the call in the first place. It was quite clear it was a TD

Holy ****, sometimes I wonder if Ingram knows rules of football. Dude was so far downfield, as he has done so many times.

I wonder if the "discussion" was with the booth and not so much the guys on the field.

I think you might’ve quoted the wrong post. The announcement was that the play was ruled a TD on the field. Which it obviously wasn’t.
I thought he said after review it was a TD. He didn’t go to the booth so I assumed it came from the booth. Lafleur had the flag out apparently. No matter, was clearly a TD.

The Viking pods I listen to think Penix will fall to us.
There’s a lot to like about Penix, but I don’t like a guy with that has played that much that still has some short and mid accuracy problems. Maybe the longest and loopiest release since Kerry Collins. But great intangibles. Maybe he can get some mechanics cleanup like Purdy in the off-season. Very interesting prospect. I think age and injury history scare some teams and might make him drop more as well.

It will be a very interesting offseason. I hope they don’t reach for a QB in the draft like they did with Ponder. If there isn’t a quality QB available, the team has many other needs, particularly on the lines
Agree. The need for so many quality starters is also why I don’t think they can throw $40 million of the salary cap at an aging QB.
