***2024 Minnesota Vikings***

Vikings might as well keep chucking long passes as much as they can, that's what DET is giving up currently. Anything with LBs in front of them gets repeatedly crushed.

I would like see Dobbs play the second half. Don’t need, or want, the W so let’s see who is salvageable for a backup role next year.

that was some of the worst defense I have seen in a long time by the vikings
The defense has really regressed the last few games. That's probably a talent issue though. would like to see what Flores could do with a serviceable secondary

I’m most interested in seeing what the Vikes think about Penix or McCarthy. Is either their guy in round one? And, if they do take one of them, what does it mean for Cousins.
My hope is draft someone like those two and let them sit under Kirk for a year or two. Kirk has a lot of knowledge he could provide

Why do the Vikings always play in Seattle? When was the last time Seattle visited Minnesota? The Walsh kick?

Side note…. Purdy, Montgomery, and Hall will be in Minneapolis
Wouldn't Seattle have been in MPLS in 2021? They should host every team within their conference every 6 years at most I think with how the schedules work out.

You are correct. Seattle played at Minnesota in 2021. Minnesota played at Seattle in 2020, 2019, 2018. It was odd to play in Seattle three consecutive seasons, which probably still resonates with me that it seems they always play in Seattle

It’s how schedules line up. When it was 16 games you played each division team twice (6 games). Then You played one whole division in each of the AFC and NFC (8 games). Then you played the team that finished in the same spot of their division in the two remaining divisions in your conference (2 games).

Yep. But it’s not common to face the same team from outside your division on the road for three consecutive seasons.

Mock draft at PFF dated today had the Vikings taking Bo Nix of Oregon in Round One, fifth QB selected. Michael Penix was already gone, taken by the Falcons. The mock draft people don’t know anything, but it’s a fun discussion point.
